For fans of Genshin Impact, a new trailer is out showcasing a deep dive into Xiao's abilities. Developer miHoYo explores all the benefits and playstyles available for the recent character addition in Genshin Impact.
Now that the Version 1.3 update is out, many players will have been cashing in Wishes for a Xiao drop. The hero is one of the Guardian Yaksha, and as such has an aggressive kit that also boosts allies. Those who got lucky with unlocking the character may be wondering how exactly to utilize him. Fortunately, the deep dive trailer gives a variety of tips and explanations for utilizing Xiao's potential.

While a recent trailer gave a snapshot of Xiao's various attacks, this new trailer goes far more in depth. A key characteristic is his agility, seen through through the mobile ability Lemniscatic Wind Cycling. The dash can do Anemo damage to enemies, but more importantly can activate in mid-air for better traversal. To make exploration even easier, Xiao has a passive ability called Transcension: Gravity Defier. While he is in the party, the active character uses less stamina while climbing. Players will also not need to worry about jumping down from high areas, since Xiao will not take any fall damage during his plunge attack.
One of the main features of the Guardian's kit is the Elemental Burst: Bane of all Evil. This ability adds a multitude of buffs and improvements for Xiao in the heat of combat. All of his attacks deal Anemo damage, and no other elemental infusion can override it. Plus, it gives him more damage and longer area of effect range, with a cost of health drain. Once players unlock the Talent Conquerer of Evil: Tamer of Demons, Xiao's damage will gradually increase.
What is great about the new Yaksha is the wide-reaching benefits he provides. Players who enjoy exploration will have a much smoother time moving around Genshin Impact's open world. Verticality and large falls will no longer be a problem for those who manage to snag this hero, and even with a health drain, his powerful Elemental Burst should make short work of enemy hordes.
This is, of course, if players manage to gain access to the newest hero in the cast. Even with higher drop rates during the current event, gacha mechanics can be punishing all the same. The more wishes players need to make, the more Primogems they will need fast. Since Primogems can be hard to acquire, those starting off or lacking the currency could have trouble getting Xiao, but even so miHoYo seems to have made another great character for their popular free-to-play title Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
