Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's Zombie game mode has received a major boost in both its Dead Ops Arcade and overall music selection.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has released a brand new map along with new items and opportunities for its Zombies experience. Among all the new content is a fan-requested update that will add some audio diversity to the game experience. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's Zombie mode was innovative at launch, but now it seems to be building on that foundation and creating a more fulfilling zombie experience.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies game mode includes both a survival round-based experience and the Dead Ops Arcade. While both of these are zombie-themed experiences, they play in dramatically different ways. While Zombies is usually a first-person endeavor, the Dead Ops Arcade adds in a top-down shooter aesthetic.

In this week's update, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War developer Treyarch released a new Solo Advanced Start mode for the Dead Ops Arcade 3 experience. While this does make the Dead Ops gameplay loop a tad easier, fans were more excited about the new War Tracks being added to the Music Player. While taking on a round of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the game does not play active music tracks except in round intervals. This leaves players with either an external music app or using the in-game War Tracks function. To fan disappointment, the initial War Tracks options were limited to only music from the current title.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War music added is traditional Treyarch music from previous titles. Players can now enjoy Pentagon, Rooftops, 115, and Damned as music to fill the backdrop of their Zombie hunting experience. These popular tracks were featured in previous Zombies and Call of Duty maps, and for many fans, the music has a nostalgic effect.

New music has been a request of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies community for some time. After fans began to notice the extended game sessions with nothing but Zombie noises and gunfire to fill the air, they were reminded of previous map music that could enhance the experience. Now, fans have a wide selection and, based on the tweet, Treyarch is expected to be adding even more tracks in future seasons of content.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War may have bugs and glitches, but the Zombies community seems to be able to see past that. Call of Duty fans come together with a love of blasting apart the undead, and the Zombies community has several more seasons of content to look forward to despite cheating concerns.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
