Following a series of abuse allegations against musician Marilyn Manson, Starz announced that it will remove the singer from his upcoming appearance on the latest season of American Gods. Despite having already appeared in two episodes of the drama's third season, the network plans to remove Manson from a his remaining episode, which is scheduled to air later in the season.

Early Monday morning, Westworld actress Rachel Evan Wood made an instagram post in which she publicly named Manson as her abuser, calling out the musician for grooming and domestic violence. Wood first met Manson as a seventeen-year-old girl, after beginning her acting career as a child. Their relationship was officially made public when Wood was 19 and Manson was 38. Wood is not the first to publicly accuse Manson of untoward behavior. Moreover, in response to Wood's Instagram post, several other alleged survivors of Manson's abuse came forward.

After this series of public accusations, Starz released a statement in solidarity with Manson's accusers: "Starz stands unequivocally with all victims and survivors of abuse." As well, prior to the network's statement, American Gods actress Yetide Badaki, who plays Bilquis, a goddess of love, similarly tweeted in support of Wood: "I stand with Evan Rachel Wood and these brave women."

In light of these Manson has also been dropped by his label, Loma Vista Records.
