Destruction AllStars just hit the PlayStation 5 through the PS Plus program, letting anyone with a subscription claim the game and download it at no additional charge. As a game primarily focused on online multiplayer, many are jumping into Destruction AllStars' multiplayer arenas to smash enemy vehicles, earn XP, and unlock new cosmetics for their favorite characters. However, many players are running into a surprise when they join an online match for the first time.
For some bizarre reason, Destruction AllStars automatically turns on voice chat when players enter an online match through the DualSense controller microphone. Stranger still, there is no option in the game to turn this feature off permanently. So what this means is that Destruction AllStars players have to go into the PlayStation menu and manually turn off Destruction AllStars' voice chat each game.

While there's an easy fix, it's certainly not convenient, and so fans have been complaining about Destruction AllStars' voice chat implementation online. Developer Lucid Games has responded to fan feedback, confirming that it is aware of the Destruction AllStars voice chat issue and plans on releasing a fix. However, it stopped short of providing a timetable for when exactly fans can expect the game's voice chat problems to be solved.
While the Destruction AllStars voice chat issues can be frustrating, on the bright side, it's one of the only issues fans have had with the game's online connectivity. While Destruction AllStars network errors pop up occasionally, the game otherwise provides a generally smooth online multiplayer experience. And this is especially impressive when one considers the likely possibility that there are a ton of people playing Destruction AllStars online right now.
After all, Destruction AllStars is one of the free PS Plus games for February 2021, and not only that, but it's one of the only PS5 exclusive games currently available for Sony's next-generation console. The online seems to be fairly well-populated at this time, and hopefully it will stay that way due for the long-term thanks to the game's release on PS Plus.
Moving forward, fans can expect Lucid Games not just to release fixes for the game, but add new content to it as well. Since it's a live service game, chances are good that the Destruction AllStars roster will grow with new playable characters, while new game modes and arenas may also be added to the mix as well. Fans will have to standby for more information that front, however.
Destruction AllStars is out now, exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
