In line with other monthly updates, a new video highlights everything Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can expect in February 2021.

Although Animal Crossing: New Horizons released without some key content featured in previous games in the series, Nintendo has kept the game fresh with a plethora of consistent updates adding new seasonal events, clothing items, critters, and more. And while the holiday season brought quite a lot along with it in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it looks like February has even more in store for players this year.

Avid New Horizons players know that the coming of a new month means new fish, sea creatures, and insects to add to their Critterpedia, as well as changes to the items sold in the in-game shops, and the coming of other seasonal events. In line with other video updates featuring what each month brings along with it in the game, Nintendo has released a new video featuring everything that February has to offer, including Valentine's Day and Festivale.

The video features new February sea creatures like the Venus' Flower Basket and the Sweet Shrimp, as well as the return of the Tiger Beetle in particular. Additionally, the video details Valentine's Day, which sees chocolates and heart-shaped bouquets added to the Nook Shopping kiosk in Resident Services, in addition to the Festivale event the day after, an all-day festival of "color, costumes, and craziness!".

Apart from Valentine's Day, arguably the biggest event players can look forward to this month is Festivale, which sees the visit of the special character Pave, a vibrant peacock who loves to dance. Animal Crossing: New Horizons players who collect colorful feathers, as well as rare rainbow-colored feathers, will be able to give them to Pave in exchange for performing a special dance in appreciation. Although not mentioned in the video, it is likely that players will also be able to exchange these feathers for certain rewards, as Pave would give players special furniture from the Pave Series in return for feathers in the Animal CrossingCity Folk and New Leaf games.

The video also highlights that the Able Sisters shop will carry some stylish outfits for players to don during Festivale. What's more, is that the new update will also allow players to get into the Festivale spirit by obtaining new reactions centered around dancing.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons also just recently revealed that it seems a new Mario-themed seasonal event will take place in March, likely in celebration of Super Mario's 35th anniversary. Although what exactly the upcoming event entails has not yet been confirmed, many players hope to see the return of Mario-themed items to Animal Crossing.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now for the Nintendo Switch.
