Kowloon Nights, an investment fund dedicated to supporting indie projects, has announced 23 more upcoming games to be included in its lineup, including some titles that were already in development and other unnamed titles from familiar studios, like Oxenfree's Night School Studio.
Back in 2018, a small, new organization called Kowloon Nights announced that it would use its investment fund to support indie developers throughout the gaming community, with budgets ranging from $500,000 to $5 million. While many indie games on its roster are lesser known compared to their triple-A competitors, even fewer gamers have probably heard of Kowloon Nights because it aims to "quietly revolutionize game funding." Studios that partner with Kowloon are still welcome to self-publish or bring on another publisher, and Kowloon stays hands-off during the development process.

Now, Kowloon Night has backed another 23 projects, bringing its total games lineup to 40 with over $100 million in available funds. Some indie games coming up have yet to be announced but come from studios with strong track records, such as Oxenfree and Afterparty's Night School Studio. An adorable farming sim known as Garden Story has also been added to the list as well as the 90s love letter Sea of Stars and Studio Zevere's She Dreams Elsewhere.
"We are incredibly proud to work with such talented studios and developers," Kowloon Nights states in its press release. "We feel Kowloon is uniquely positioned to help developers pursue their visions while building sustainable studios.”
In the past, Kowloon Nights has funded games like Thunder Lotus' Spiritfarer, the highly anticipated Godfall, and the upcoming We Are OFK, announced at 2020's Game Awards.
