During the Activision 2021 Investor Call, the publishing company confirms several interesting details regarding the upcoming Call of Duty release.

During the recent Activision Investor Call, the publishing company confirmed that a new Call of Duty title will be releasing in 2021. While there is still no confirmation as to who is developing the title, the company executives have asserted that a new 'premium' experience will be launching into the franchise this year. Call of Duty 2021 could take players almost anywhere, but the company is keeping the plot secret for the time being.

Several prominent Call of Duty leakers have predicted that Sledgehammer Games is working on the 2021 Call of Duty title. While the studio has not produced a game since 2017, the recent rise in hiring and suspicious silence from the studio has lent credence to many fans' speculations. In 2020 alone, the studio hired 150 new developers across all its departments, suggesting that something big is most likely in the works. Fans are currently speculating that the new title could be a new Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare or even Call of Duty: World War 3.

Activision has been careful not to announce or leak any specific details regarding Call of Duty 2021. With new Call of Duty titles usually revealed in May, the game will most likely launch in October or November of this year. That is assuming that Activision sticks to its familiar pattern as Call of Duty: Black Ops delayed its promotions by a month before being revealed.

One interesting fact is that Call of Duty 2021 will be running parallel to Call of Duty: Warzone. Similar to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's launch, the game will be closely associated with the battle royale experience. Activision President Rob Kostich confirmed that Warzone will be 'central' to the future of the Call of Duty franchise.

Fans are hoping that a balance will come to the Call of Duty: Warzone environment if the game is expected to be at the center of franchise activity. While the game is still dealing with hackers and exploits, connecting the new Call of Duty experience could be detrimental in the battle royale's current state.

Call of Duty 2021 is expected to be revealed sometime between May to August.
