Players in Call of Duty: Warzone employ dozens of different tactics to gain an edge on competing players and teams. Scattered across the web are hundreds of guides that hope to give tips and tricks for players hoping to claim a win. While Call of Duty: Warzone is a game of strategy and tactics, many confrontations can come down to a small consideration of common sense.
While each Call of Duty: Warzone strategy has its own set of advantages and disadvantages, there are some simple tricks that many players forget while attempting to strategize. Reloading weapons, refreshing ammo plates, and checking corners may be habits for some, but other players struggle to think through their assaults and defenses. While there are many lessons a Call of Duty: Warzone fan could learn, these players decided to teach the enemy squad a lesson that they will never forget.

In a clip posted by realholymoose onto Reddit, the Call of Duty: Warzone players are in a quads game in Verdansk. The video starts with their assault on a bunker that has an enemy squad within. While these assaults can often be tricky and are generally ill-advised, this squad had an unexpected advantage when they scoped in on their targets. Peeking down into the bunker, the player notices the distinct color of a bright blue ammo box in the center of the room. Knowing that this bunker has very little cover, the player guesses that at least one enemy is hiding behind the central desk. Aiming carefully, they blast apart the ammo box, causing a rather large explosion.
As soon as the ammo box explodes, the Call of Duty: Warzone player received three simultaneous downed alerts. Rushing in, the player and his squad quickly cleaned up the kills and secured the bunker. While the clip is relatively short, it does teach two valuable lessons to Call of Duty: Warzone fans hoping to assault or defend specific locations.
The first lesson is for the assault team as any badly placed ammo or armor box can serve as an improvised explosive. Although many other Call of Duty: Warzone explosive options have received damage and radius nerfs, the ammo and armor boxes remain as volatile as ever.
The second lesson is rather simple: when camping inside an enclosed space, it is probably not the best idea to camp next to an explosive object. Call of Duty: Warzone is filled with potentially dangerous cover options, and ammo boxes are one of the more dangerous despite their armor replenishing qualities.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
