A new Nintendo Minute video shows off 10 minutes of co-op gameplay in the new Bowser's Fury mode from Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury.

The long wait for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is almost over, as the game releases exactly one week from today, on February 12. Being one of the most anticipated Wii U games to come to the Switch, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is pure classic Mario platforming, and also serves as the perfect celebration for the 35th anniversary of Nintendo's iconic mascot.

Although fans were left in the dark for quite some time about what the Bowser's Fury portion of the game consisted of, Nintendo finally shed some light on the more open-world adventure just a few weeks ago. And while different trailers, screenshots, and previews have shown a variety of gameplay for the upcoming game, a new Nintendo Minute video shows an in-depth look at how Bowser's Fury's co-op mode works.

This new adventure included in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury sees Mario team up with Bowser Jr. to collect Cat Shines in order to quell the rage of Fury Bowser. Complete with a "Bowser's Furry" joke, Nintendo Minute hosts Kit Ellis and Krysta Yang show about 10 minutes of co-op gameplay in the new mode, as Ellis controls Mario while Yang controls Bowser Jr.

Aside from being one of the first in-depth looks at co-op play in Bowser's Fury, the Nintendo Minute video also reveals some other new details about the Bowser's Fury game mode. The hosts show that the player controlling Bowser Jr. can help Mario out by hovering over to hard-to-reach areas to grab Cat Shine Shards. Ellis and Yang also display that players can store power-ups swap them out for their current one throughout gameplay, which also helps with nabbing certain Cat Shines that require a specific power-up to reach. What's more, is that it looks like players controlling Mario can pick up and throw the friendly cats found around Lake Lapcat, similar to how players could comically pick up and throw the baby penguin in Super Mario 64.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is launching February 12, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
