Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s new Firebase Z map gives fans access to a stellar Wonder Weapon, with the gun obtainable through crafting.

Of all the new things added to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies in Firebase Z, the R.A.I. K-84 Wonder Weapon is quickly becoming a fan favorite. Fortunately, there are several ways Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players can get access to the special Ray Rifle.

The tried-and true method of spinning the Mystery Box can grant players the weapon, though fans will have to rely on luck for this to work. Likewise, trials will often drop the R.A.I. K-84 as a Legendary reward, though this takes time and can take time if not earned right away. Another option would be doing the Reward Crate side quest, though with the Wonder Weapon being a rare drop, this method is not reliable. As such, the best way to get the R.A.I. K-84 is to build it, and here is how it can be done.

Rapidly firing off shots that resemble Call of Duty Zombies’ iconic Ray Gun Wonder Weapon, the R.A.I. K-84 is a deadly piece of gear that players should always have on them. To start on the brief but fun journey of creating the gun, players should grab the blueprint from the wall in the Weapons Lab. Glowing yellow and to the left of the Armor Stand, it should be hard to miss. Next, players should go to Scorched Defense, approaching a tank on the right side of the area.

Players will need to find a body, with the charred corpse able to be interacted with. If players have not yet collected the piece of Call of Duty Zombies intel by his corpse, the yellow item should give his presence away, though he will not be too hard to find if players thoroughly search the right side of Scorched Defense. Once interacted with, a gnarly cutscene will occur, with the player’s Operator ripping out the eye of the dead man — only for a jump scare to see the Zombie coming to life before quickly being dealt with. From there, Zombies fans will need to return to the Weapons Lab, using the eye on the retinal scanner to unlock a drawer. Upon picking up the keys inside this drawer, players are well on their way to finishing the side quest.

Players should head to the Barracks next, which are located behind the door that sits directly behind the improved trials area. In each of the two large tents, there will be three lockers to open. While some contain collectibles, the contents of the lockers are not important, as players instead want to kill the Mimics that spawn from opening them. These Mimics will drop a Gun Barrel, the first of three part for the weapon.

Next, players should head to the computer where they used the eye. Pressing square on the computer will display a dart board pattern, and players will need to memorize the three sections of the dart board that the light stops on. The order also matters, as this is the sequence that will need to be used. Once players know the code, they need to return to the Village. In the room to the left of Ravenov and the Pack-A-Punch machine, where the Wunderfizz us located, players should shoot the numbers that correlate to the sequence. Once all three are shot, players must shoot the Bullseye, and a Converter will appear on the dart board. With the Barrel and Container collected, players are on the final step, and it is undoubtedly the easiest of the bunch.

Players now need to wait until a Mangler spawns into the map, with the returning mini boss from Gorod Krovi usually appearing around Round 15. Once he spawns, players should focus on destroying the Mangler’s canon arm, with Power Cells dropping when it is shot off. These will be used as the R.A.I. K-84’s magazine and must be charged, which can be done using a device to the right of the Armor Stand in the Weapons Lab.

From there, Call of Duty Zombies fans simply need to wait for two rounds until the Cells are fully charged. Once done, they can be picked up, and players can assemble the new wonder weapon under the spot where they snagged the Blueprint and their quest first began. Upon picking up the R.A.I. K-84, players can leave the Weapons Lab, pack-a-punching the special gun as if it were a normal Assault Rifle. A standout weapon during Assault Rounds and regular survival, especially if players make use of its area-of-effect alternate fire, few will be disappointed by the R.A.I. K-84.
