Dusklight Shards are easy to find in Destiny 2, but there are some tricks players can use to maximize their returns when farming them.

Destiny 2 is filled with exciting destinations where players can battle enemies and do their best to overcome the forces of the Darkness. Each of these destinations has a planetary material that can be collected. This material acts as a form of currency and can be given to various vendors in exchange for important resources.

Dusklight Shards can be found on the EDZ and appear all over the map, from Trostland to The Sludge. The resource looks like a dark crystalline plant structure and will have a faint glow coming from it to make it easier to see. Dusklight Shards can also be obtained by opening chests that can be found while exploring the area. Planetary Resources will be vital in the Season of the Chosen to get much-needed Upgrade Modules and Enhancement Prisms, so knowing how to farm them efficiently is an important part of the game.

The trick to farming any planetary resource in Destiny 2, including Dusklight Shards, is to use a Ghost. The Beyond Light expansion brought some important changes to Ghosts, making them more useful to players, especially when it comes to farming resources. By opening the inventory and inspecting a Ghost, players can now take advantage of a range of useful mods.

The Wombo Detector mods will mark nearby planetary resources and chests on the screen using small white waypoints, making them much easier to find. The Bountiful Harvest mods will give players a chance to earn additional resources every time they harvest a resource or open a chest. Which tier of the mods players can use will be dedicated by the Masterwork level of the shell. It is advisable to fully Masterwork a shell so that you can use the best mods possible, which will require upgrade materials like Legendary Shards and Enhancement Cores.

With both of these mods equipped in their Ghost, players can load into any area on the EDZ and explore it. When a Dusklight Shard or chest is within the active range of the equipped mod, it will be marked, and the player can easily track it down and interact with it to harvest resources. This makes farming Dusklight Shards much quicker than it would be if players were trying to track them all down by sight alone. When an area has been cleared out, they can move on to the next area and repeat the process.

If players have Fireteams, they can all use different Detector mods to ensure they cover the widest area possible, but each member will need to equip Bountiful Harvest to get additional resources. This will give players a nice headstart on getting together the materials they will need to Masterwork the new weapons and armor that will be coming next season, such as the new Trials of Osiris rewards.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
