Even a decade after its initial release date, Terraria continues to amaze fans with new and exciting additions to the game. With plenty of enhancements coming via the final Terraria 1.4.1 update, gamers will have plenty of things to do to keep them busy.
With all of the rare items in Terraria, one that could prove useful to players is the Sniper Scope. The Sniper Scope increases the viewing range for guns and is only available for Terraria players in Hard mode who have beaten the Golem in the Jungle Temple.

Even with the necessary resources in Terraria, it can kind of be confusing for players to figure out how to make a Sniper Scope. Not only that, but there are also slightly different methods depending on what console the game is running on. For Terraria fans looking for a little extra guidance, here are the different ways the Sniper Scope can be made.
To start, Terraria players are going to need either the Warrior, Ranger, Sorcerer, or Summoner Emblem. With that, they will have to combine it with the Soul of Might, the Soul of Sight, and the Soul of Fright to make the Avenger Emblem. After that, combine the Avenger Emblem with the Eye of the Golem to create the Destroyer Emblem. Finally, combine the Destroyer Emblem with the Rifle Scope to make the Sniper Scope.
The method for older consoles and the Nintendo 3DS has fewer steps. First, combine the Warrior, Ranger, and Sorcerer Emblem to craft the Avenger Emblem. Then, combine that with the Eye of the Golem to make the Destroyer Emblem. Lastly, craft the Destroyer Emblem with the Rifle Scope to create the Sniper Scope.
The Sniper Scope can only be used on guns that use Bullets, Gel, Candy Corn, or Stakes as ammo. Even if another weapon has the word "gun" in the title, it may not be able to equip the Sniper Scope, such as the Coin Gun or Dart Rifle. The Sniper Scope also adds a 10 percent increase in critical strike chance alongside a bonus of 10 percent in Ranged Damage. However, as a drawback, the Sniper Scope heavily increases the enemy spawning rectangle, which might throw off some players.
Once it is successfully crafted, gamers can use it by pressing and holding the "Open/Activate" button and moving the cursor in the desired direction. Hopefully, this guide helps players who prefer a more ranged build in Terraria 1.4 make their gameplay a little easier, and help keep a safer distance from enemies.
Terraria is out now on 3DS, iOS, PC, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Switch, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
