Assassin's Creed Valhalla: How to Beat 'The Walloper' | Game Rant

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Valhalla is filled with World Events, which serve as the game's side quests, including the fearsome Walloper.

Apart from the main story, Assassin's Creed Valhalla's world is filled with small events or collectibles that would keep anyone busy for hours. Included in these non-essential experiences are "World Events," which function, in essence, as side quests. Players will be given tasks that range from simple fetch-quests to the downright bizarre.

Some of Assassin's Creed Valhalla's quests include small mini-bosses, like the Legendary Animals that can prove to be a challenge, no matter how strong Eivor is. Then there's The Walloper, a man with a punch so mighty that only one touch will send even the fiercest warrior into a deep sleep. Or so his grandchildren say.

Here's how to find The Walloper world event, and how to beat the supposed One Punch Man.

The Walloper is located in the southern region of Grantebridgescire, just northwest of the town of Walden. His exact location is circled in red on the map below.

The Walloper will try to dissuade Eivor from engaging in a bout of fisticuffs. Eventually, a prompt will come up that gives players the choice to fight The Walloper, or to walk away. Fighting him is the only way to complete the World Event and reap the rewards.

As it turns out, despite the hype, The Walloper is not nearly as difficult as the aforementioned Legendary Animals, nor is his punch particularly devastating. The only tricky part of the fight is the very beginning, as The Walloper will immediately attempt to punch Eivor after the cutscene ends.

His punch is slow and easy to dodge. The best way to beat him is by parrying one of his attacks, which will stun him. While he's staggered, Eivor can land a stun attack that will drain The Walloper's health bar entirely, ending the fight. Once a player has defeated him, The Walloper will give thanks for being freed from his legacy and will give out a key to a locked door.

Inside the room behind the locked door is some standard loot, as well as a "Bag of Adorned Teeth" that can be sold to a merchant for a nice chunk of silver. Players will also be awarded experience for completing the World Event.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
