Lucario is one of the more popular Pokemon from the Sinnoh Region appearing in Pokemon GO. It is capable of learning multiple powerful attacks and boasts a very aesthetically pleasing design that is well-beloved by many different Pokemon players.
In Pokemon GO, Lucario is a dual Fighting and Steel-type that is weak to only Fire, Fighting, and Ground-type moves. While it is mostly known for its attacking ability, its defenses are greatly helped by it resisting damage from Steel, Grass, Ice, Dragon, Dark, Normal, Bug, Rock, and Poison-type moves.

Players can get Lucario by evolving its basic evolutionary stage, Riolu. This pure Fighting-type Pokemon needs 50 Riolu candies in order to evolve, which is more than the average amount of evolution candy needed.
While Riolu has a rather basic evolutionary method for players to get Lucario, finding Riolu in the first place can be challenging. There are no current events in Pokemon GO that are increasing it or Lucario's wild spawn rates and neither of them are currently appearing as raid bosses.
At this current time, the best way to find a Riolu is to hatch one from a 10km egg. Getting one however isn't a guarantee with there being fourteen other possible baby Pokemon that can hatch out of 10km eggs. To reduce the number of eggs needing to be hatched, players are recommended to use rare candies on their Riolu once they receive one to make evolving into Lucario easier. Players can also have Riolu as their buddy Pokemon as they walk around in order to get more Riolu candies.
Players can get 10km eggs from spinning PokeStops as long as they have an empty space in their egg storage. Like with what kind of Pokemon comes out of eggs, there is no guaranteed way to get a 10km instead of a 2km egg or a 5km egg. At the very least these eggs are much quicker to hatch if players need to get more space for 10km eggs. It is highly recommended for players to use their Pokecoins in the in-game shop to get more incubators to allow the hatching process go much faster.
Once players get a Lucario there are quite a few different moveset combinations they can choose from. Those wanting to use their Lucario in PVP battles as well as raids should know that there is one moveset that deals out the most DPS possible. This moveset has Lucario knowing Counter as its fast move and Aura Sphere as its charge move.
