Here's a guide on how to find all hats, glitching remains, and missable achievements/trophies in Little Nightmares 2's first chapter, The Forest.

As players explore the dark and brooding environments of Little Nightmares 2, they will encounter two different types of collectibles. The first type of collectible - hats - can be worn by players after finding them. The second collectible type - glitching remains - appear as the ghosts of children stuck in purgatory throughout the levels.

This guide will highlight all missable hat and glitching remains locations in Little Nightmares 2's first level, The Forest. There are a total of 2 hats and 4 glitching remains for players to collect.

Additionally, this guide will also showcase all non-progression-related missable achievements/trophies that can be obtained in each level. In the first chapter, there are 3 missable achievements/trophies for players to obtain that will be outlined in the order they appear in the chapter.

Glitching Remains Location 1) At the start of the level, players will have to use a crank to lower a crate before being able to progress. Immediately after this section, players will encounter a demolished bridge that they are unable to cross. After jumping down into the chasm, players will find a small hidden tunnel to the right of the demolished bridge. Climb through the tunnel to reach the first glitching remains location.

Glitching Remains Location 2)  Shortly after the previous collectible location, players will reach an area filled with beartraps. To progress, the players must use a stick to activate a bear trap blocking a wooden tunnel that they can progress through. After sliding down the wooden tunnel, players must turn around and crawl underneath the wooden log to find the collectible location.

Missable Achievement/Trophy 1) Players are also able to unlock the "Evasive Prey" trophy/achievement by completing the bear trap segment without being killed.

Hat Location 1) After completing the bear trap segment players will eventually reach a large cabin in the woods that they can enter through a window. Once inside the creepy Little Nightmares 2 house, players must progress through the kitchen before reaching a corridor. Before progressing into the basement (which is located directly across from the kitchen) players must make their way to the house's front door where they will find the first missable hat on a rug.

Missable Achievement/Trophy 2) Players must equip the hunter hat for the duration of the level to unlock the "Fair Prey" trophy/achievement.

Missable Achievement/Trophy 3) Players can also unlock the "What's in the Box" achievement/trophy by opening the fridge in the kitchen.

Glitching Remains Location 3) After obtaining the key in the attic, players will eventually reach the backyard of the house. Outside, players will notice an outhouse that appears to be locked. To open the outhouse, have Mono and Six stand next to the door which will trigger Six to boost Mono up to the door latch. Inside, players will find the collectible.

Hat Location 2) After completing the first chase segment with the hunter, players will reach a demolished bridge that they must vault across. Immediately after vaulting across, players will reach a stack of cages. Climb up the cages before vaulting to the cage suspended by the rope. Once on top of the cage, jump repeatedly to break the rope. The rope will eventually snap causing the cage to fall, and allowing the player to access the hat inside.

Glitching Remains Location 4) At the end of the chapter, players will sail across a lake on a makeshift raft before reaching a large beach. After reaching the beach, players will find the glitch located directly next to a television on the shore.

Little Nightmares 2 is available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
