In a recent viral clip, a Grand Theft Auto 5 player manages to pull off an incredible feat by landing a motorcycle on the Loch Ness Monster.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is a massive, chaotic playground where the limit is basically player's imagination. Players can fly around Los Santos as Goku, shoot animals and vehicles with different guns, and a number of other things that can only be done with mods in GTA 5. One recent viral clip shows a player managing to land their motorcycle on the Loch Ness Monster, which perfectly encapsulates just how zany the game can get.

Rockstar Games' latest entry in its long-running Grand Theft Auto series continues to do well, despite releasing three console generations ago in 2013. Grand Theft Auto 5 just passed an insane sales milestone, with the title having its best year since launch in 2020.

The viral video comes from Reddit user DarkStunter. The short clip shows the Grand Theft Auto 5 player racing down the airstrip near the mythological creature. After picking up as much speed as possible, DarkStunter launches off a rock on the shoreline. By leaning back to sustain flight, the motorcycle quickly hurdles toward the Loch Ness Monster and lands squarely on its head. The player then proceeds to try and blow the dinosaur-like animal to pieces. While the explosives have no effect, the fact he managed to not only land on the Loch Ness Monster, but on its head, makes the achievement impressive.

The Loch Ness Monster Easter egg was added as part of Grand Theft Auto Online's Cayo Perico Heist, and even getting close to it is no easy task. Players that get too close to the creature will discover it dives below the surface, unable to be seen. DarkStunter was clearly able to circumvent this behavior by flying at it. In addition to Nessie itself, there is a sand sculpture of the monster behind the bar at the beach party, which players can send a picture of to Pavel.

While The Cayo Perico Heist is GTA 5's single largest expansion to date, there are plenty of rumors circulating about Grand Theft Auto remasters. On a recent investors call, Take-Two's CEO was asked about remastering several of the older GTA titles. While not really answering directly, he said the question was "great and encouraging," which lends itself to the idea that something might happen down the line. However, nothing is confirmed, and the ongoing success of the current GTA could mean potential remasters could be a long way off.

Managing to land on the head of an Easter egg that's hard to even properly see up close is nothing short of impressive. While there's a large number of gamers still playing Grand Theft Auto 5, there's also bound to be players who've fallen off at some point during the title's near decade-long tenure. Modders are keeping the game fresh, however, sometimes by turning it into other games. Players who are bored of the usual GTA hijinks can check out an in-game recreation of Burnout 3, for example, and experience an action-packed and chaotic game in its own right.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are in development.
