Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury players can use this guide to complete the 'Key to the Cat Shine' objective in the Pounce Bounce isle.

Super Mario 3D World is finally here for the Nintendo Switch, allowing Mario newcomers to sink their teeth into the classic Wii U title with some added content in the form of Bowser's Fury. The new expansion is a wide-open area that takes inspiration from Super Mario Odyssey, but with an extra twist that involves Bowser popping up to wreak havoc every few minutes to disrupt Mario's goal. There are several different parts of the map for players to explore, as well as many Cat Shines to collect.

The Pounce Bounce Isle location in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury has a particular Cat Shine that can be hard to obtain if players aren't looking in the right spot. This objective is titled 'Key to the Cat Shine' and tasks Mario with unlocking a Cat Shine from a cage that sits at the front of the isle. To get the key that unlocks this cage, players should first enter the level as normal, going past the bullet bills and up the cliffs.

Players will eventually reach a point in this section where there are two bullet bills and a large wall to the right. The key to the cage is on top of this wall, so players should go around the side and then climb up the wall to get the key in their hands. However, getting down from this cliff back to the cage isn't that simple.

Players will need to carry the key down the cliff without falling into the water, taking damage, or picking up a different item. If any of these things happen, the key will disappear and Mario will have to go up and grab it again. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury players should first find a way to drop onto a piece of sand below and then slowly and carefully make their way back to the cage. There's no right or wrong method here, but players should just make sure to take their time. Having to travel back up to this spot can get irritating.

Once players make their way back to the cage with the key, the Cat Shine will be up for the taking. If players are looking for even more challenges, there are several worlds to run through in the base game that feature many different locations from deserts to forests.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
