Numskull Games has released an announcement trailer for its newest game, RICO London, a stylish co-op first-person shooter that takes place in London, England. Numskull Games is a game publisher that has released over two dozen games on Steam, PlayStation, and the Nintendo Switch. RICO London is a game set to release this year on Switch, PS4, and PS5.

Although Numskull Games may not publish some of the more well-known games in the industry, it has some high-quality ones in its catalog. For example, Crystar, a story-driven RPG on the PS4 and PC, is one of the highest user-scored games on Metacritic. RICO London could be next on the list.

The just-released flashy trailer for RICO London showcases a highrise in London as players take down a gang room by room, blasting their way through explosive levels. The gameplay is from a first-person perspective, and enemies must be taken down quickly while also dodging incoming projectiles. Co-op gameplay is also shown. The gameplay almost looks like a mix of the slow-motion first-person puzzly elements of Superhot with the room-clearing gameplay of Hotline Miami. If Numskull Games can capture any of that, it may have a hit on its hands.

Numskull Games is also well-versed, as its partner company Numskull helped design the PlayStation VR stand. RICO London also feels like the type of game that would work on VR. And with the game being released on PlayStation consoles, perhaps a PSVR release is possible at some point as well.

RICO London is headed to the Switch, PS4, and PS5 in June of 2021.
