Oddworld fans have patiently waited for Abe’s next adventure, Soulstorm, and now we know it’ll be coming this spring after getting delayed out of 2020. While we already knew that the game was coming to PlayStation platforms, what we didn’t know was that it will launch on PC as an Epic Games Store exclusive.

The news comes as part of Epic’s Spring Showcase, alongside a new trailer showing off some never-before-seen footage of the game in action. Oddworld: Soulstorm looks even better than ever, and fans of classic Oddworld should have plenty to get excited about. Take a look at the narrated gameplay breakdown below.

According to creator Lorne Lanning, Oddworld: Soulstorm acts as the true sequel to Abe’s Oddysee, and it is the second part of the quintology he originally envisioned for the series back in its inception. The idea that there are still three more games to come after Soulstorm seems unthinkable given that it was scheduled to launch way back in 2017. If nothing else, I suppose it means that fans have plenty of Oddworld to look forward to in the coming years.

While we still don’t have an exact launch date, spring is right around the corner, so look forward to playing Oddworld: Soulstorm sooner than later. Assuming it doesn’t get delayed again, of course. You can pre-purchase it now on the Epic Store. That game is also coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

In other Epic Games Showcase news, the entire Kingdom Hearts series is coming to PC for the first time on the Epic Store and the PC version of Axiom Verge 2 will launch exclusively there as well. When Epic isn’t busy signing big titles to exclusive launch deals, running Fornite, or developing Unreal Engine 5, it also creates cutting-edge human modeling technology to help improve game development.
