Google is promising more than 100 games for its Stadia streaming servce, but it remains to be seen if it will live up to its original vision.

By all accounts, the Stadia streaming service hasn't gone down as a huge success, especially when pitted against the likes of Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo. It may not exactly be the world's worst gaming platform, but it hasn't left much of an impression on the community. However, Google is now looking to launch 100 new titles to keep the system relevant in this modern gaming era.

According to reports, Google is promising to keep the Stadia alive with a slew of titles, which it says will be hitting its streaming service later on this year. The company is looking to strike a chord with a wide range of gamers by offering everything from platformers to action RPGs to co-op titles.

A couple of games have already been given release dates, such as Shantae: Risky's Revenge (February 23), It Came From Space and Ate Our Brains (March 2nd), and Kaze and the Wild Mask (March 25). Even FIFA 21 will be ported to the console on March 17.

It seems the Stadia has struggled to stay afloat in the cutthroat world of gaming, despite being made by one of the biggest companies on the planet. True, it has had numerous flops in the past, such as the failed Google Glass, but there are some exclusive Stadia games that are worthy of a second chance. Google may be able to rescue its metaphorically drowning platform, but since launching in 2019, the cloud-only service has suffered from tech issues from the start, so these new games are under pressure to rescue it from the brink of irrelevance.
