When Sony first revealed its PS5 DualSense controller, reactions were certainly mixed. Some fans loved the striking two-toned design, while others found it to be a bit distracting. Regardless of how one feels about it, there's a great deal of good that's come from this design decision. Even before the official release of the DualSense, fans have been creating custom designs of the controller and sharing them on the internet, resulting in some truly amazing works of art. Now one company has gone above and beyond, transforming the DualSense into a classic PS1 controller and transporting the player back to 1994.
Like the DualSense, the PS5 and all of its accessories feature a bold, two-toned design. This black and white theme is certainly abnormal when it comes to console design, but nevertheless it has won the hearts of many. These days, players don't have to be satisfied with the appearance of a console or its controllers, however, as there are plenty of services that can help to customize these things.

One of these services is called LazaMod, a company that creates custom controllers and more using high quality, automotive paints. Players can order these custom painted controllers from its website, though they will cost a bit more due to the material cost and labor involved in creating these masterpieces. While all of LazaMod's designs are impressive, it recently shared one on the PlayStation subreddit that has wowed fans and likely generated a few sales in the process. This classic PS1 design is all that some fans could ask for.
The first thing fans will probably notice is the recoloring of the white portion of the DualSense controller. Now it is a muted gray that is reminiscent of the original PlayStation's design. As if that wasn't nostalgic enough, the real beauty of this design is in the details. Pay close attention to the buttons on the right side of the controller, as each one is painted in the classic PlayStation colors. Another area that shines is the PS button itself, as rather than appearing pure black like in the original design, it has been colored to match PlayStation's logo from the early days.
In the comments, LazaMod goes on to explain that this design was handpainted to look this way, and that high quality automotive paints are used in the process. This ensures that the paint won't chip, and since there are no stickers used, it won't fall off either with heavy use. It isn't hard to see why fans are loving this custom DualSense design.
