World of Warcraft players can make four Lunar Festival flower crowns into permanent transmog items by completing several event quests.

With World of Warcraft: Shadowlands nearly reaching its 3-month anniversary, most players have completed everything the launch had to offer. While there are still plenty of endgame activities to do, many heroes need something else besides running Castle Nathria raids and timing Mythic+ dungeons. Thankfully, there is no shortage of seasonal events back in Azeroth, including the Lunar Festival.

Coinciding with the real life Lunar New Year celebrated by various cultures, Warcraft's Lunar Festival celebrates the Burning Legion's first defeat thanks to an alliance between the Night Elves and various other races thousands of years ago. Occurring every February in-game, this is also the only time to acquire limited edition cosmetics such as firework toys and transmog item. Though most of these appearances can only be used as transmog during the event, 2020 gave players a chance to make four flower crowns permanent by completing a short questline which is now easier than ever with the recent level squish.

Each of the four permanent crown quests only becomes available after purchasing its event counterpart in Moonglade: Crown of Courage, Crown of Prosperity, Crown of Dark Blossoms, and Crown of Good Fortune. Note that each one requires 25 Coins of Ancestry gathered by talking to Elders across various locations or instances in Kalimdor, the Eastern Kingdoms, and Northrend. Since one character can only pick up 84 coins after scouring the farthest reaches of Azeroth, there is an easier one-time quest per character that awards 25 coins.

Talk to Myrael Lunarbloom near the vendor NPCs to pick up Lunar Preservation which involves visiting various moonwells across Azeroth. While any character can do this, a World of Warcraft Druid is highly recommended. Druids that have done the intro class order hall questline in Legion can use their Dreamwalk spell to access portals near various moonwells. This even works for any trial druids that are created if they aren't an allied race character. User Tyrsenus laid out the exact path players should take after starting the quest in Moonglade.

  1. Interact with the first moonwell in Moonglade.
  2. Fly to Mount Hyjal manually or by flight path (trial characters can pick up the flight path through the Mount Hyjal portal in Stormwind or Orgrimmar) and interact with the giant lake.
  3. Fly to and interact with the moonwells in Felwood, Ashenvale, and Stonetalon Mountains. Note there are two moonwells in Ashenvale.
  4. Dreamwalk and take the Feralas portal before flying to the moonwell near Dire Maul.
  5. Dreamwalk and take the Duskwood portal and the moonwell is right behind where players appear.
  6. Dreamwalk, take the Moonglade portal, and turn-in the quest to Myrael.
  7. Buy one of the four crowns.

With this method, getting a crown shouldn't take more than 30 minutes. Repeat these steps three more times to buy the other items and unlock all four permanent quests.

The follow-up quests are also picked up from Myrael and send players to collect flowers from zones in Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. Once again, Druids are the best class to avoid most of the travel time involved.

  • Fly from Moonglade to Winterspring.
  • Use a hearthstone and take the Stormwind/Orgrimmar portal to Uldum then fly to Un'goro Crater.
  • Dreamwalk and take the Feralas portal then fly to Desolace, Mulgore, and the Northern Barrens.
  • Dreamwalk and take the Hinterlands portal then fly to Hillsbrad Foothills and Silverpine Forest.

The remaining route differs depending on faction.

Horde:

  • Dreamwalk and take the Duskwood portal then fly to Dun Morogh.
  • Dreamwalk and take the Duskwood portal then fly to Stranglethorn Vale.
  • Use a hearthstone and take the Orgrimmar portal to Silvermoon. Note that Eversong Woods is a no-fly zone.
  • Dreamwalk and take the Moonglade portal then turn in all four quests to Myrael.

Alliance:

  • Fly from Silverpine Forest to Eversong Woods then run the rest of the way.
  • Dreamwalk and take the Duskwood portal then fly to Stranglethorn Vale.
  • Use a hearthstone or fly back to Stormwind, take the Boralus portal, then take the Ironforge portal and fly over to Dun Morogh.
  • Dreamwalk and take the Moonglade portal then turn in all four quests to Myrael.

While this is the most efficient method, other World of Warcraft classes such as mages can complete the flower gathering quests with similar times thanks to their portals.
