Racing games have been a staple of the video game market for decades, and even the Nintendo Switch will be getting its very own NASCAR game. While racing games are popular, monster trucks games are few and far between. Monster Truck Championship has been the most recent one, and it will be heading to the PS5 and Xbox Series X next month.

Monster Truck Championship was developed by Teyon, a Polish game studio that is also known for games like Rambo: The Video Game, and Terminator: Resistance. The game is published by NACON, which was also the recent Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood game. Monser Truck Championship was originally released on October 15, 2020, for multiple consoles.

Teyon has announced that Monster Truck Championship will be released on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on March 16 in North America. European fans will be able to play the game a few days earlier on March 11. There are 16 different vehicles to choose from that players can use over multiple types of race events. Additionally, the game boasts a variety of 25 playable stadiums and circuits from across the United States.

The game portrays realistic driving and physics, taking into account things like suspension, gearboxes, and independent front and rear wheel controls. Players have the option to play in third-person mode or experience the action in the driver's seat in first-person. It looks like the main improvement for the game is that it can run in 4K 60 FPS on the newer consoles.

Bringing the game to more consoles lets even more players have access to the game than before. While monster trucks aren't everyone's cup of tea, they are often popular with audiences for all their destruction and glory. Even Final Fantasy 15 added a monster truck option for the player's vehicle in the game. Hopefully, Monster Truck Championship will be able to find a bigger audience.

Monster Truck Championship is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, and will release for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on March 16, 2021.
