A Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's weapon model may be lacking an important piece, or maybe something else is going on in this image.

Fans have had three months to explore Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War since its initial launch. In this time, multiple bugs and glitches have been exposed and repaired by the community. As a shooter, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans are extremely perceptive when it comes to weapons. Despite this, one small detail has thus far gone unnoticed.

For a first-person shooter, realistic guns and gunplay are expected by the community for the game to be even marginally successful. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has worked to maintain a realistic impression in its armory selection. From the vibration response on each gun to the in-game model, these weapons have gone through multiple tests to ensure their realism.

Despite this, some problems still occur, as discovered by Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Reddit fan Fiiv3s. The player was using their dual-wielded 1911 handguns in a round of Zombies when they noticed something odd. Neither of the weapons, despite being identical models, has a trigger for the in-game character to pull. In short, the gun should not function at all despite the hammer locking and the full animation presented. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's guns may have gone through some level of scrutiny, but the community is shocked that something this obvious would make it through their testing.

While it is strange enough that the weapons do not have triggers, one perceptive commenter noticed something else. The barrel of the right hand's Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War 1911 handgun is passing through the model of the left hand's. For some players, this is a glaring issue that gains more attention to the problem with the triggers.

In the comments, the player discovers that this is not an oversight of the developers. Rather, Fiiv3s had their texture quality so low that the game was removing unnecessary assets. While this explanation makes sense, it does make some Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans wonder what else has been removed in the graphical downgrade.

Some fans are concerned that there could be competitive advantages to turning graphics down on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Foliage, environmental effects, and gun animations may all be affected, which could translate into a bigger problem. While this player was mainly concerned with his pistol's functionality, a larger problem may be presented by the game's community because of this post.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
