Stardew Valley has many an artisan good for players to create and profit off of. One of the more profitable goods is truffle oil. Not only that, but it can be used in one of the bundles in the community center. With that in mind, here is how to go about making truffle oil in Stardew Valley.
Before any truffle oil can be made, players will first need truffles. But before players can get truffles, they will need pigs. In order to house pigs though, players will first need to obtain a deluxe barn. In order to do so, players will first want to go to Robin and have a standard barn built for 350 wood, 150 stone, and 6,000 gold. Once Robin has finished building the barn, it will then need to be upgraded twice. The first upgrade to the barn, the big barn, will cost players 450 wood, 200 stone, and 12,000 gold. Then the second upgrade from the big barn to the deluxe barn will cost players 550 wood, 300 stone, and 25,000 gold. Once the barn has been fully upgraded, players can then buy a pig from Marnie for 16,000 gold.

Once a pig has been purchased, it will take 10 days to mature to adulthood. Only adult pigs are capable of finding truffles. Once a pig has grown to maturity, simply let it outside during a day where it isn't raining in Spring, Summer, or Fall and it will forage for truffles provided it has also been fed that day. The more affection the pig has, the greater the chance it will find multiple truffles. Once a truffle has been dug up, players just need to pick it up like any other item. The truffle itself can also be used in the Chef's Bundle in the Community Center. It can also be sold for 625 to 1,250 gold depending on the quality of the truffle.
Once players reach Farming Level 8, they will learn the crafting recipe for the Oil Maker. To make it, players will need 50 slime, 20 hardwood, and 1 gold bar. Slime can be obtained from the slimes in the mines or from a slime hutch. Hardwood can be obtained from chopping down mahogany trees, large stumps with a copper axe (or higher) and large logs with a steel axe (or higher). Regular trees have a chance to drop hardwood as well if the player has the lumberjack profession. A gold bar is made from smelting gold ore in a furnace.
Once players have made the oil maker, they can put corn, sunflower seeds, or a sunflower to make standard oil. Putting in a truffle will make truffle oil in 6 hours. Truffle oil sells for 1,065 gold or 1,491 gold with the artisan profession. If players have the botanist profession, but not the artisan profession, then they can obtain iridium quality truffles that will sell for 1,250 gold as previously mentioned, which is more than truffle oil will sell for without the artisan profession.
Stardew Valley is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
