WandaVision has kept Marvel fans on their toes all season, with exciting reveals and shocking revelations that will surely thrust the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the bulk of its Phase 4. With the season finale quickly approaching, Paul Bettany, the actor who plays Vision, is keeping the enthusiasm alive with his latest claim that there is still one major Marvel character who will make an appearance on the show.
In an interview with Esquire, Bettany addressed the ongoing rumor that a mysterious Avenger is going to show up at some point in WandaVision. Many fans have been betting that it is Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange, but Bettany did not confirm nor deny such a theory. He simply mentioned that a lot of the characters on the show got out through leaks.

That said, despite the leaks, he also promised that there is one major character coming who has not been revealed yet. According to Bettany, the actor who has been cast is someone he has been longing to work with for all of his life. He went on to add that the two of them have some amazing scenes together and that the chemistry they have is "just like fireworks on set."
With three episodes left to go, fans have been flocking to social media to offer their thoughts on who the surprise actor could be. Taking notes from an interview Bettany took at AsiaPOP Comic Con Manila, where he named three actors who inspired him growing up, fans have narrowed down their guesses to either Robert De Niro or Al Pacino.
The fan theory seems to be leaning towards Al Pacino in particular. The "hints" just add up - In 2014, he told MTV that he was "ready to go to Marvel" after he was left "really impressed" by the Guardians of the Galaxy film, which was released that year. He also said in another MTV interview that "there's value" to movies like that. Even more convincing is the fact that Pacino said he has met with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige before and that they've had conversations about Marvel. "I would imagine there's something he feels right for me," Pacino added.
WandaVision has already blown fans away with the surprise appearance of X-Men's Evan Peters, which was the first time a Marvel character from the Twentieth Century Fox series showed up in the MCU. In the show, Evan Peters played a reincarnated version of Wanda Maximoff's deceased brother Pietro. For now, fans will just have to wait and see what WandaVision has in store for them.
WandaVision is now streaming on Disney Plus.
