At one point, PewDiePie was the most-subscribed to channel on YouTube, until T-Series came along to take his crown. However, that doesn't invalidate the Swedish content creator's impact on the video-sharing site. At the time of writing, he has 109 million subscribers, which is no small feat. However, he once again became the subject of controversy when his diss track aimed at the channel Cocomelon was removed from the site. Now, PewDiePie has told his followers how this decision has made him feel.
In a recent livestream, PewdiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, was asked about the removal of the video from YouTube. At just eight minutes into the stream, he said he wasn't hoping to use this livestreaming video to talk about the incident, but he did say he was "disappointed" with the situation, adding that he didn't agree with the decision.

Unable to avoid the subject any longer, he joked that he just wanted to play some Stardew Valley hinting that he would eventually get around to giving a proper statement at another time. Questions came from the community about how it made him feel, which sparked a somber reaction from the YouTuber in which he admitted that he hadn't really wanted to go live in the first place as he knew people would be asking him about the Cocomelon, an equally huge channel but one that is dedicated to family entertainment, diss track.
The song itself was removed by YouTube over concerns that it violated policies about child safety. According to the company, the video was created to look like it was made for kids, but contained some "inappropriate content." The company also said the track dissing Cocomelon was tantamount to harassment or at least inciting harassment towards other content creators.
YouTube has also said that any re-uploads of the video will be immediately removed. As PewDiePie is such a huge star, it could be argued that having his video taken down is the lesser of two evils. Some YouTubers have found themselves being banned entirely for inappropriate content, such as Belle Delphine.
This is also not the first time PewDiePie has been the subject of controversy. In 2017, Felix was accused of anti-Semitism and insensitivity which eventually lead him to be dropped by Disney. Although he issued a public and tear-filled apology quickly after, it's likely that the outcry over his actions may have marred his reputation for good. While he may be one of the most influential YouTube sensations of all time, it could be argued there is an element to him that lands him in trouble at times.
