The first boss of Persona 5 Strikers is Mad Rabbit Alice, and she can prove to be a challenge early on, so here's a guide to defeating her.

Players are eagerly awaiting the release of Persona 5 Strikers in the West, but won't have to wait much longer. Persona 5 Strikers recently celebrated with a launch trailer illustrating all the reasons to love the game.

One of the biggest changes in Persona 5 Strikers is the real-time battles which shake up the combat quite a bit. This is doubly true for boss fights, and the first one against Mad Rabbit Alice can prove to be a doozy. She's fast and powerful, but players have several tools to help them out. Here's a guide to defeating Alice while getting acclimated to the battle system and its various nuances.

Finding Alice is not too difficult: she's the boss of the first Jail. Of all the Jails in Persona 5 Strikers, hers is the easiest by far. The tougher part is actually defeating her and freeing everyone from her grasp.

After successfully finding the locations of Alice Hiiragi's rumors, scouting out the Jail, and unlocking the boss fight, don't go into it just yet. First, get healing items for HP and Sp. On top of that, get some status cure items. They may turn out to be unnecessary, but it's much better safe than sorry.

Out of the many things to know before starting Persona 5 Strikers, one of the most useful is that it's more Persona than Dynasty Warriors. Long-time veterans of the Persona series know that buffing the party's stats while lowering the boss' stats can make all the difference in the world and the same is true here. Doing so can make a difficult boss much more manageable, so be sure to refresh the buffs/debuffs frequently.

Alice, unlike other bosses, is pretty susceptible to status ailments. Wind and Fire damage are pretty good to inflict these, while Wind and Nuke really pile on the hurt after she has them. As soon as she has any status ailment, go to town with damage.

The cracklers lining the arena are cannons that players can use to interrupt Alice's biggest attacks, like her Slice and Dice. Be sure to do this whenever possible, especially if the party has status ailments. Alice's physical attacks will deal bonus damage while the party has these, which is the main reason to bring status cure items, as mentioned above.

Alice's defeat will not destroy the Jail, so players can continue to go back and do sidequests. These will start with requests like Trapped in Wonderland, but there are many more to complete as well.

Persona 5 Strikers releases on February 23, 2021, for PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
