Valheim is taking the gaming world by storm and it's not hard to see why. It continues to lead the sales charts on Steam and breaks its concurrent player records practically daily. It seems that gamers want to survive and thrive with their friends in Viking purgatory and we can't blame them in the slightest.

It can be one thing to know how to summon every boss in the game but entirely another thing to be able to take them down. They are called bosses for a reason and some are simply far harder to defeat than the others. Still, not all bosses in any game are created equal, and some are far more difficult to kill than the others.
5 Eikthyr
It should come as no surprise that the first boss in the game is the easiest to take down. He may be able to shoot electric bolts from his antlers, but they tend to be easy enough to dodge for anyone with solid reflexes. Players that know how to parry and can use a Wooden Shield and Flint Spear will find the fight over shortly after it begins.
Still, it's important to not just run in while still wearing rags. Having Leather Armor is required to make the first not something mind-numbingly difficult. Combine this with some good food and a full night's sleep before the battle and Eikthyr shouldn't be too big of a problem.
4 Yagluth
Despite Vagluth being the final boss of the game, they tend to not be that difficult to defeat. By that point in the game, players are likely to have the best weapons and armor in the game which makes any fight a bit easier. Plus, most of its attacks are slow and very telegraphed which makes it no struggle to dodge them.

If Vagluth's fist is glowing orange, he's about to summon meteors. If he rears his head back, he's about to spit flames from his mouth. If his hand is glowing blue, be prepared for a fist smash attack. The fight is even easier with friends as Yagluth chooses to focus on only one opponent at a time.
3 Moder
It can be a pain collecting all of the dragon eggs needed to summon Moder and even more of a pain to take him down once the battle begins. Moder can attack from the ground or in the air and its blizzard breath is liable to freeze players to death incredibly quickly. Best to come with Frost Resistance Potions or expect to lose.
The thing is that in the end, Moder's attacks aren't too difficult to dodge for players with good reflexes. A lot of what makes the battle difficult is the terrain in which it's fought in. Players will find it vital to have Wolf Armor so they don't freeze to death. It's also a good idea to try to bring Poison Arrows or anything else that deals damage over time.
2 The Elder
It can take quite literally hundreds of fire arrows to take down The Elder and it's vital that players pile on as much fire damage as they can. This can mean everything from setting up multiple fireplaces in hopes the boss might step on them or even trying to attack with a torch if desperate.

One of the most difficult parts of trying to take down The Elder is making sure not to run into the woods too far away in an effort to use ranged attacks. The battle is challenging enough without having to deal with the Greydwarfs or Trolls in the surrounding area. Make sure to not drift too far away and bring a lot of healing potions.
1 Bonemass
Despite it not being the final boss of the game, Bonemass is by far one of the hardest of them all to defeat. To be able to fight him, players will need to find the Swamp Key so they are able to enter the Sunken Crypt where they can find this boss. Still, it's absolutely worth taking on the fight to be able to get a Wishbone.
Bonemass has three different attacks it can use. Its melee attack is scary, but even more so is the toxic miasma that he floods the air with that causes severe poison damage to anyone caught inside it. It's easy to die in a quick instant to it but then add in the fact that Bonemass can summon skeletons, blobs, and oozers to join him in battle and he becomes a headache to defeat.
Luckily, there are a few ways to help take him down. He resists all kinds of damage except blunt damage so be sure to choose the right weapon for the job. The Stagbreaker is particularly useful for this fight. It's likely impossible for players to beat Bonemass without poison resistance mead so it's important to have a fermenter before they try to tackle this boss.
