One of the most underused features in GTA Online is the Arena War workshop. The Arena War update brought a bunch of new vehicles for players to mess around with and a workshop to customize them in. Players can then use the cars that they tricked out to battle each other in intense game modes.

These game modes can get pretty hectic, but so can the streets of Los Santos when these cars break free from the arena and go on a rampage. Whether a player likes the Arena War game mode or not, they have to admit there is something magical about rocket-powered death machines.
Updated June 30th, 2021, By Aden Carter: Rockstar has been hesitant to add any new Arena War vehicles to GTA Online, but the vehicles that exist are more than powerful enough to satisfy the masses. Rockstar has been busy creating future DLC for the game for the upcoming extended and enhanced edition. Hopefully, this comes with more Arena War vehicles for players to customize and take to the streets. This new content could also lead to new Arena War game modes. Unfortunately, Rockstar has kept quiet about what this new content will end up being. Hopefully, we can all see a ton of new content.
12 Issi Classic
- Costs $1,089,000 for Arena War upgrade
- Easy to flip
- Has a mortar to attack enemies behind it
The Issi Classic is one of the vehicles that shouldn't have made it into the Arena War. Possibly the worst of the vehicles, the Issi gets flipped by just about anything that touches it and can easily get destroyed afterward. Unlike most Arena War vehicles, the Issi does get a mortar weapon, but it is hard to hit targets with it. The ramming weapon has a hard time flipping vehicles while keeping the Issi on the ground and the windows are easily shot through. One of the worst parts of the vehicle is the guns that sit on the roof. Despite being centered, these guns can't hit low targets unless the player is far away from them.
11 Cerberus
- Costs $3,870,300 or $2,910,000 for the Trade Price
- Has a lot of stopping power but is slow-moving
- Flamethrowers can be mounted on the top
The Cerberus is a massive piece of machinery that can take the world by storm. When fitted with a ramp on the front end, this beast can tear through the streets of Los Santos with little being able to stop its force. The Cerberus can also have two flamethrowers mounted to the top of it that can incinerate players and vehicles alike. Despite being fun to drive, the Cerberus is possible the worst of the Arena War vehicles because of its large profile and lack of maneuverability. This machine can get stuck on many road hazards and is hard to turn around. It is also easy to take down because of its slow speed.
10 Slamvan
- Costs 1,321,875 for Arena War upgrade
- Large windows leave players vulnerable to attack
- Prone to getting knocked over
The Slamvan is another Arena War vehicle that is lower on the list because of its poor handling and offensive capabilities. This vehicle can take a rocket and survive, but the large windows leave players vulnerable to bullets even with the armor plating. The Slamvan does boast some machine guns on the hood but they are hard to hit targets with and don't provide much benefit in the arena. Outside the arena, the Slamvan could still be better than it is. It is prone to getting knocked over by little bumps and can't plow through traffic easily.
9 Scarab
- Costs $3,076,290 and $2,313,000 for Trade Price
- Has poor handling and speed
- Hard to hit targets thanks to roof-mounted machine gun
The Arena War game mode wouldn't be complete without a tank forcing its way through other players. Unfortunately, the Scarab tank isn't all it's cracked up to be because of its poor handling and speed. This vehicle is faster than the Cerberus, but can easily get thrown about if a player isn't careful.

The biggest benefit of the Scarab is that it can take multiple rockets before exploding. The offensive capabilities of this vehicle include a ramming weapon and a machine gun on the roof. The ramming weapon can prove to be useful on certain occasions, but the machine gun sits high up and can be hard to hit anyone with.
8 Glendale
- Costs $1,609,000 for Arena War upgrade
- Size makes it harder to maneuver
- Vulnerable to attacks because of exposed fuel tanks
The Glendale is a big surprise for players who have never seen it upgraded before. The Arena War variant of this vehicle is large, so large that it makes it hard to drive. It is more maneuverable than other vehicles and can get some help with a shunt boost and jumping. This vehicle isn't easily knocked over, but it does get destroyed easily because of the fuel tanks that are visible on the sides. The lack of bulletproof windows leaves the player vulnerable to bullets and the guns on the vehicle are hard to hit anything with. Outside of the arena, this vehicle can be fun to drive and knocks away cars with ease.
7 Brutus
- Costs $2,666,650 or $2,005,000 for the Trade Price
- Easy to tip over because of its height
- Able to survive a decent number of hits
The Brutus is another vehicle that is extremely vulnerable in the arena. Its height makes it easy to tip over. Once it is tipped over it can easily be destroyed. In the arena, it is hard to deal damage with this vehicle because of the amount it can toss and turn. It does have a good defense and can take a while to destroy if it doesn't tip over. Outside of the arena, the Brutus van is pretty much useless unless a player is playing by themselves or with one friend. Despite being a van, players can't utilize the back end so only two people can fit at one time.
6 Impaler
- Costs $1,089,000 for Arena War upgrade
- Class: Muscle Car
- Low to the ground with great speed and handling
The Impaler is where the Arena War vehicles start to get good. This vehicle has great armor that allows the player inside it to be protected from many threats. Similar to the Dominator, the Impaler has great speed and handling. It can get a little rocky whenever take on enemies head-on, but the guns are low and can easily be used to hit targets. The only part of this vehicle that is lacking is its capability to stay on the ground. This vehicle is lightweight and can easily be flipped like any other sports car.
5 Dominator
- Costs $1,132,000 for Arena War upgrade
- Can hit targets easier thanks to hood-mounted machine guns
- Tombstone can be dropped to damage enemy vehicles
The Dominator is better than the Impaler because of one thing, the tombstone. In and out of the arena, the Dominator can be used to wreak havoc. It has great machine guns that are mounted on the hood. These guns are easily able to hit targets, but because of spacing can miss smaller vehicles.

The one downside to the Dominator is the lack of protection. The armor on the vehicles is great everywhere but the windows. The windows appear to be hard to shoot through but are actually easy to hit players as long as the aim is right.
4 Sasquatch (Rat Truck)
- Costs $1,530,875 for Arena War upgrade
- Has special grenade launchers that can pin targets against walls
- Ramming weapons can easily move other vehicles
The Sasquatch is, by far, one of the best vehicles the Arena War update has to offer. This vehicle becomes a monster truck when upgraded in the arena workshop and can easily crush targets. It gets special weapons like a massive fist for ramming and dual grenade launchers. These launchers fire low and can easily hit targets without any height issues. The ramming weapons can easily move and destroy vehicles that get in the way. Outside of the arena, this vehicle is a blast to use and can cause some major mayhem.
3 Imperator
- Costs $2,284,940 or $1,718,000 for Trade Price
- Mounted machine guns can easily hit targets
- Front-mounted saw blades can toss cars and kill players
The Imperator has great handling and speed to get players through the arena. It also has great defensive and offensive capabilities. For defense, this vehicle gets great armor that surrounds the player and a mortar to help get other players from getting too close. Instead of a traditional ramming weapon, players can choose to add spinning blades to the front of the Imperator that can throw cars and instantly kill players. This vehicle also gets mounted machine guns that are easy to hit targets with.
2 Deathbike
- Costs $1,269,000 for Arena War upgrade
- Small and easy to maneuver
- Size keeps players safe in and out of the arena
- Fastest motorcycle in the game
The Deathbike is one of the greatest vehicles that players can buy in GTA Online. Not only is it the fastest of all the motorcycle, but it also gets great upgrades that help keep players alive in and out of the arena. A large shield can be added to the back of the Deathbike that can protect the player from bullets. The downside to this shield is that it can eventually blow up despite not being connected to the gas tank. The size of this vehicle keeps players safe in the arena and the speed helps them get away from danger. The one downside of this vehicle is that it can easily be destroyed by explosives.
1 ZR380
- Costs $2,138,640 or $1,608,000 for Trade Price
- Great defense and offense capabilities
- Can equip mega blade on the front to flip cars and kill players
The ZR380 has been crowned by many fans of the game as the best of the Arena War vehicles. This is because of the great maneuverability this car has compared to many of the other vehicles. The dual machine guns on the hood are centered and low which helps to hit almost any target out there. This vehicle can also get spinning blades all around it and a mega blade on the front. These blades can instantly kill players who get too close. The ZR380 also has great protection that covers the entire car including the windows. On some variants, this armor can also make the windows bulletproof.
