Though the name Goku probably conjures up images of epic battles with shiny Golden hair, it's important to remember where Dragon Ball started, with young Son Goku on a quest to collect all seven of the titular Dragon Balls. One fan, called Huzske on Reddit, pays tribute to this younger Goku with an amazing custom PS5 design. Along with it, there's also a matching hoodie and controllers, and the whole thing works very well together. Custom PS5 designs have been taking the internet by storm, with some fans split over whether or not the default design looks good.
As the main protagonist of the long Dragon Ball franchise, Goku has undergone dramatic change since fans first met him. Though he started out as a small kid with a tail and his faithful power pole, he's now a full grown Saiyan capable of accessing immense power through the Super Saiyan transformation and now Ultra Instinct.

This design is mostly white, black, and red, and has a distinctly Japanese feel to it. Many fans point out that it is reminiscent of Ghost of Tsushima's art direction, with an emphasis on Goku himself instead of Jin. On one side of the PS5, fans see Kid Goku and the power pole standing underneath a tree and watching the sunset, but flip it over and there's more. The other side of the PS5 shows adult Goku in his Super Saiyan form. Since it's black and white, it's impossible to tell whether this is his standard Super Saiyan or rather Super Saiyan Blue.
To go along with it, there's also a matching controller featuring the adult Goku design on it. This to has white, black, and red as the primary colors. Interestingly enough, this isn't too different from the colors found on the default PS5 design, but they work together to tell a story in a way that the bold two-toned console doesn't. Finally, Huzske shows a picture of the hoodie that they based the custom PS5 design on, completing the set.
In general, fans seem to love this custom design, praising its use of both young and old forms of Goku. In a space where these types of fan made designs are everywhere, it's amazing that so many of them manage to stand out. This all just goes to show how dedicated people are not only to their PS5s but also to the properties they hold dear.
The PS5 is available now.
