Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies fans were delighted to learn that they would be allowed to play as Samantha Maxis in Season 2, with Treyarch confirming that she would arrive in-season. Fortunately, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans will not have to wait too much longer for Sam to appear in the shop.
While players will have the first Season 2 Battle Pass tiers to grind through during week one, as well as a Dead Ops Arcade bundle to purchase from the store, week two will make Samantha unlockable through the shop. Though the exact price of her bundle has not yet been revealed, fans can expect something in the range of 2400 COD points based on past Operator bundles. Like with other additions to the character lineup, Sam's pack is full of special items.

With Reactive Camos returning in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s second season, it seems fitting that one of the first goes to Samantha. The ultra-rare blueprint will be for the AK-74u SMG, and the stylish gun will be dubbed the “Z-74u.” Like reactive camos in past Call of Duty games, the pattern and color will change as players rack up kills in Zombies, multiplayer, or Call of Duty: Warzone. A legendary shotgun called the “Neutralizer” will also be included, though Treyarch has not yet specified which shotgun will be getting the blueprint.
Other bits and bobs included in the pack include a new finishing move called “Maim and Tame,” an execution that will surely be as brutal as the others in the game. Aside from the violent takedown, players will get access to a moving calling card and two moving emblems. Two stickers will also be included, with one showcasing the logo of Omega Group adversary Requiem. However, the most appealing thing in the bundle, apart from Samantha herself, might just be the charm.
While it has not yet been shown, the charm is described as “a familiar sight” for those that use the Mystery Box as often as possible. This leaves only two options, with one being the Teddy Bear from the original Zombies games that appeared when a Mystery Box switched positions. With a connection present between young Sam and the Teddy, this would make sense as a charm. However, given the focus on a new story, the demonic blue Bunny from Firebase Z’s crate easter egg makes more sense.
Regardless of whether the charm focuses on the Teddy or its Bunny replacement, though, the bundle seems like a must-have pack of cosmetics for Call of Duty Zombies fans. With the open world Outbreak mode arriving tomorrow, Sam’s debut at the start of March comes at the perfect time.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
