Unlockable in Stardew Valley's late game is the Statue of Endless Fortune, an item that will make getting birthday gifts much easier.

Stardew Valley has a great many hidden secrets and unlockables, especially towards late game. One of those unlockables is the Statue of Endless Fortune, an item capable of providing Stardew Valley players with rare items daily.

Getting the Statue of Endless Fortune comes at the end of a quest chain called 'The Mysterious Qi.' To initiate this quest, players will first need a battery pack. Players can get a battery pack from a lightning rod or from a solar panel, but players will gain access to lightning rods before solar panels, as solar panels are only unlockable once Ginger Island has been reached.

Therefore, the former is a better bet. The crafting recipe for a lightning rod is given to the player after reaching level 6 in the foraging skill. It requires 1 iron bar, 1 refined quartz, and 5 bat wings to make. Once it has been made, simply place it outside and wait for a thunderstorm. When the lightning rod is struck by lightning, it will start producing a battery pack. Keep in mind that thunderstorms do not occur during Winter.

Once the battery pack has been obtained, players will need to head to the bus stop. Once there, they'll want to walk to the left of the bus, down the tunnel. There will be a box in the tunnel in which to place the battery pack. Once this is done, the quest 'The Mysterious Qi' will officially start. A note from Mr. Qi will be found inside and it will direct players to place a rainbow shell in the box by the train platform in the northern part of the valley. A rainbow shell can be foraged off Stardew Valley's beach during the summer.

If it is not summer, it can occasionally be sold from the Traveling Cart in Cindersap Forest. It can also be a gift from Demetrius in the mail or a gift from Jas or Vincent during the Feast of the Winter Star, if they are the player's beneficiary.  A Stardew Valley fish pond with at least 9 rainbow trout also has a chance to produce a rainbow shell.

Once the rainbow shell has been obtained and taken to the box on the train platform, players will be given the next part of the quest which is to deliver 10 beets to Mayor Lewis' fridge. Beet seeds can be purchased from Sandy's store in the Calico Desert. They are then planted during the fall and are ready for harvest in 6 days. Once the player has 10, they can enter Mayor Lewis' house and place them in the fridge, wherein they will get the next part of the quest which asks them to "Give the sand dragon his final meal."

This part of the quest requires players to take a solar essence to the desert. Various monsters, such as ghosts and mummies drop solar essences when defeated, but solar essences can also be purchased from Krobus. A pond with 10 Sunfish can also produce one. Once players have one, they should take it to the skeleton to the north of Sandy's shop in the desert. Put the solar essence in the skull and this part of the quest will be completed.

Once the sand dragon has been fed, the quest is mostly complete. To finish the quest, players just need to interact with the pile of lumber attached to their house. There they will find a Club Card which will allow them to finally meet Mr. Qi in the Oasis' Casino. Head back to the desert and talk to the bouncer at the back of Sandy's shop for access.

Once in the Casino, players can go to the man standing next to a potted plant at the top of the casino to purchase the Statue of Endless Fortune. It's not cheap, though, and will put players out 1,000,000 gold. Once obtained, it can be placed down like a furniture item and from that point it will produce one item each day, similar to its purple cousin the Statue of Perfection and the Statue of True Perfection. The statue will produce a diamond, omni geode, gold bar, or iridium bar each day. However, if it is a villager's birthday, it will instead produce one of their loved items, meaning players will always have the perfect birthday gift.

Stardew Valley is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
