Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Nerfs send ripples through the Warzone community, as attachments lose power but match their descriptions.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's armory merged with Call of Duty: Warzone, causing a massive shift in the game's meta. After several balance patches and nerfs, the guns have gone through work to be effective in a battle royale environment. These Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War patches ripple through the Warzone community, and this new set of nerfs may have been a tad too harsh.

In a shooter like Call of Duty: Warzone, it is important to use the strongest gear available. With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's weapons being modified and adjusted, it can be hard to know if these weapons will still be viable after a nerf. With balance adjustments made in Season 2, JGOD believes that the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapons have been ruined.

In a series of tweets, Call of Duty: Warzone YouTuber JGOD breaks down the recent nerfs to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War attachments and guns. With several suppressors seeing a reduction in barrel velocity, some weapons are losing range as a sacrifice to their silenced shooting. Call of Duty: Warzone fans have long requested that the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War suppressors competitively match their Modern Warfare alternatives, but this nerf has taken them even further into an unplayable state.

Interestingly, many of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War attachments have received a buff along with a nerf. Now several attachments are matching what their description says they do, allowing for more predictability in the Call of Duty: Warzone environment. XM4's Extended, AK 47 Liberator, and the Agency Suppressor for the RPD have all been adjusted to match their effect on bullet velocity and other stats.

Despite several positive changes, Call of Duty: Warzone YouTuber JGOD points out that 4x and 20x scopes are still available without a glint effect. This means that several Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War snipers are able to shoot undetected without having to worry about lens glint giving away their position.

While many of the changes were requested by the Call of Duty: Warzone community, the guns are now in a worse state than before. It is unknown exactly what will happen in the meta, but some players theorize a major shift back into Modern Warfare weaponry. With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War introducing two new weapons, hopefully, this attachment shift does not bring down their initial impact on the in-game battle dynamics.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
