Famitsu has released its findings on the most recent software sales for the week ending February 21, 2021, and Nintendo has yet again dominated. Just like the Nintendo Switch accounted for 87% of all console sales in Japan in 2020, the Nintendo Switch accounted for 87% of the top 30 games sold over the past week in Japan, with Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury taking the top spot.
After being number one last week, the highly reviewed Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury again was the highest sold game in Japan for the week of February 15 through February 21 with 97,955 units sold. But along with the success of Mario and his pals, the Nintendo Switch commanded sales across the board. Of the top 30 games on the Famitsu list, Nintendo's hybrid console charted with 26 games.
