There are more than 20 Jobs to unlock in Bravely Default 2, and players can find a complete list of them in this short guide.

Bravely Default 2 features a robust Job system that gives players a great deal of control over each of their characters. Indeed, with more than 20 Jobs to select from, there are ton of different Job combinations to try out, and some of them pack quite a punch. For those fans that would like a better sense of the Jobs that are available in Bravely Default 2, this guide contains a full list.

Before diving into the Jobs in Bravely Default 2, it is worth mentioning that all but three of them will be unlocked, in the order that they are listed below, as a player progresses through the story. Information on the three optional Jobs can be found in the following list, and it should help players avoid missing them. That said, there are spoilers in some of that information, particularly when it comes to the final Job, and fans should proceed with that in mind.

  • Salve-Maker: Complete a quest in Enderno at the beginning of the chapter to unlock.
  • Bravebearer: After reaching the second ending in Bravely Default 2, players should reload their saves to trigger some cutscenes. When those are complete, fans should head to the pass between Halcyonia and Savalon, defeat Sir Sloan’s ghost at his grave, and unlock the Job.

As a player earns these various Jobs, they should pay close attention to how they might synergize with one another. Doing this will allow JRPG fans to come up with combos where the Main Job and the Sub-Job support each other perfectly, and those will give them a big advantage in battle. Some recommended combinations are Black Mage and Red Mage, Monk and Berserker, and Thief and Phantom, but there are many other powerful options to consider.

Fortunately, it is very easy to try out different Job combinations, due to the fact that they can be swapped on the fly. This swapping is performed through the Jobs section of the main menu, which is accessed by pressing X, and fans should return to the feature frequently as they work to beat Bravely Default 2. While the sheer number of Jobs and possible combinations may make this process feel slightly overwhelming at times, players that put some time into it will certainly be rewarded for their efforts.

Bravely Default 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch.
