Despite launching all the way back in 2016, Dead by Daylight continues to receive frequent updates and new characters to enhance the experience for players. Last year alone saw the addition of four major content packs, adding Silent Hill's Pyramid Head, The Deathslinger, The Blight, and The Twins alongside an array of new survivors, skins, and maps.
Behaviour Interactive is now teasing its newest batch of content, with the developer posting a cryptic clip over on its Twitter account. The tease clocks in at just 7 seconds and appears to set up a music-focused villain that will join the fray during Chapter 19.

The clip focuses entirely on someone listening to a song on a blood-spattered computer, getting through 3 seconds of the track before rewinding it to the beginning and playing it again. Initially, there's little to go off. However, fans have begun speculating about the clip when comparing it to several cryptic photos that have recently appeared on Dead by Daylight's Twitter feed. The first is a cup of coffee, with the mug featuring a logo for a company called Mightee One Entertainment. The image sported the caption, "been working all night, stay tuned," and a hashtag reading "화이팅." The second is a photo of a woman in a sequined dress with the caption "feeling it," and the hashtags "플렉스," "스웩," and "magnum opus."
Behaviour even changed its Twitter name to Magnum Opus and its picture to an ominous, silhouetted figure. It seems the combination of clues has got the Dead by Daylight fanbase thinking, with commenters sharing a range of wild theories on what Behaviour's cooking up. One fan guessed that the character will be a malfunctioning robot, while another shared the concept of it being a hacker. A bizarre but incredibly prevalent theory appears to be that the killer will be related to K-pop somehow, mainly due to the cryptic hashtags, the personality conveyed in the recent captions, and the fact that Behaviour teased the character was from Seoul in a reply to its coffee tweet.
Regardless of what the clip turns out to be setting up, it's without question one of the weirdest teases for a Dead by Daylight killer to date. Although no reveal date is officially announced during the teaser, Behaviour Interactive hints that the new chapter won't be under wraps for long, replying to a tweet praising the song by promising it'd be sharing more soon.
Dead by Daylight is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
