It's no secret that despite it being nearly a decade old now, Skyrim is considered something of a sublime addition to western RPGs. With people talking about its successor, The Elder Scrolls 6, it seems as though there is still life in the 2011 fantasy game as mention of a board game adaptation is currently doing the rounds.
Arguably, this is something that was inevitable anyway, but a Skyrim board game is allegedly coming soon. A company called Modiphius Entertainment are the ones behind the adaptation, with plans to start a crowdfunding campaign later on this year. Board games are something of a rising passion and have been increasing in popularity these last few years, so a version that actualizes one of the most famous RPG games in history sort of makes sense.

While not a huge amount is known about the Skyrim board game, the basic description indicates it will be a game for 1-4 players and will take place in the game's location. Either way, this could be very interesting especially given that the company making it are responsible for TES: Call to Arms, a tabletop RPG game adapted from The Elder Scrolls Online.
Skyrim is already something of a gaming phenomenon. Released in 2011, it has sold millions of copies worldwide and has inspired an onslaught of Skyrim memes which both poke fun at the franchise and are a testament to its popularity. With the tabletop game being announced, though no release date as yet, this could be an opportunity for fans to realize their "Fus Ro Dah" dreams in this board game adaptation.
