The Outriders Demo is available to play for anyone who is curious about the game, but how long will players need to see all the content?

Outriders, the upcoming action RPG shooter from People Can Fly and Square Enix, has released a demo allowing players to dive into the game and experience what the post-apocalyptic setting is all about. After some delays, the developer is eager to get the game into players' hands to show how different it is from other titles in the shooter-looter space.

The Outriders demo will take anywhere from two to three hours to play through, encompassing a prologue, some story missions and side quests, plenty of loot, and an exciting array of powers that certainly help the game stand out from the competition. At roughly three hours in length, the good news is the demo will give players an informed idea as to whether they like the game or not, and those that do have ways to extend their playtime.

RELATED: Outriders Didn't Originally Have Classes

The first option players who are really enjoying the game can take is to start new characters. This will allow them to quickly explore all Outrider's classes without getting too deep into the game after launch, only to realize that they don't quite enjoy the class they have been investing their efforts in. Starting any new title with a clear path to progress is always an advantage for those who get their fun from grinding for loot.

The second is to take advantage of one of Outrider's features that allow players to farm for Legendaries in the demo. Despite being a short experience, it is possible to endlessly grind the available content for Legendary weapons and armor by resetting the story progression. Doing so will bump players back to just after the prologue, allowing them to repeat the content and open all the loot chests again. This will not reset character progress, and any obtained loot will be left untouched. After reaching World Tier 5, the highest difficulty level available in the demo, players can do so at a reasonable chance of getting some Legendary drops.

Any Legendary drops that players are lucky enough to get will be waiting for them when Outriders releases on April 1. Anyone looking to take advantage of this and rope in some friends to join the fun can also make use of Outrider's crossplay feature, allowing them to play with friends no matter the platform that they are on.

PC players who are planning to jump into the demo to check out Outriders may want to make one small change to the game that could have a big impact on their enjoyment. Turning off motion blur will result in a much crisper image and lead to an FPS improvement for some players. All it takes is a little bit of copy and pasting in Outrider's installation files and players will be all set for some looter-shooter action.

Outriders releases April 1 for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
