JP is a very important resource in Bravely Default 2, as it is used to level up Jobs and unlock new abilities. While players will undoubtedly earn a reasonable amount of JP simply by working through the game, some fans may be interested in farming it more directly. It is with these players in mind that this guide is being written, and it will detail how to efficiently farm for JP in Bravely Default 2.
Before diving into the details of JP farming in this new JRPG, it is important to note that the Freelancer Job has an ability that will expedite a fan's efforts. That ability, which is unlocked at Level 9, is called JP Up, and it increases the amount of JP that is earned by a multiple of 1.2. While this may not seem like a significant increase upon first glance, the additional JP the ability grants will certainly add up, and it is thus advisable to unlock it early.

With that established, one of the very best ways to farm for Job Points in Bravely Default 2 is to engage in Consecutive Battles. These types of battle chains occur if a player picks a fight with an enemy when there are others nearby, and a bonus multiplier will be applied to JP, EXP, and more based on how many Consecutive Battles are fought. More specifically, fans can earn up to 2x JP for fighting five Consecutive Battles, and Monster Treats are a good way to corral enemies and setup chains.
One spot that is particularly good for this in the early game is the north area near Halcyonia, as a number of Vesps gather there. This means that Insect Nectar can be used to bring several enemies close together, guaranteeing frequent Consecutive Battles in Bravely Default 2. To note, this Job Point farming spot is even better if it is visited when Sir Sloan is in the party, as his heals and offensive abilities will allow players to take down all of the monsters in the area with ease.
Fans that are looking to grind JP should also make sure that they consume JP Orbs whenever possible. These Orbs can be obtained from Expeditions, which are unlocked after completing Quest 001 and can be worked on while a player is away from their Switch. This makes them a great supplement to the more active farming methods detailed above, and fans that put all of this together should be able to level up their Jobs in Bravely Default 2 quite fast.
Bravely Default 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch.
