The newest series of Team GO Rocket special research tasks is coming soon in Pokemon GO- here are all of them and their valuable rewards.

Team GO Rocket is back with their nefarious schemes in Pokemon GO once more with players being tasked with stopping them. In order to do this, players need to participate in the new All The Higher They Fly special research tasks.

Like the majority of special research tasks in Pokemon GO, players don't need to worry about time limits when it comes to completing them. It is still highly recommended for players to go on and try to complete them if they want to take of Team GO Rocket's Giovanni.

With the focus on Team GO Rocket, players will need to be prepared to take on multiple members of the evil organization from both their balloons and at various PokeStops. Players will also need to be ready to take on the three leaders of the team alongside their powerful Pokemon parties.

There is a total of six different steps for the All The Higher They Fly special research tasks. Each of these steps requires players to complete three tasks each, but the sixth and final step luckily is just meant for collecting additional rewards, meaning that there aren't any actual tasks that players need to collect for it.

Players will have access to the first step of these special research tasks as long as they have completed all of the A Troubling Situation special research tasks beforehand. After its completion, these tasks will be immediately available.

The first step's tasks are:

  • Win a raid - 15 Pokeballs
  • Defeat three Team GO Rocket grunts - Three Hyper Potions
  • Catch one Shadow Pokemon - Three Revives

Completing all of the first step's tasks will reward players with 10 Pinap Berries, 10 Nanab Berries, and 10 Razz Berries.

The next step ups the difficulty of the tasks while also providing more valuable rewards to help players along. These tasks are:

  • Catch five Shadow Pokemon - Sun Stone
  • Make three nice curveball throws in a row - 15 Great Balls
  • Catch 10 Flying-type Pokemon - Doduo encounter

After players complete these tasks they will receive 1,500 XP, 500 Stardust, and 10 Pidgeot Mega Energy.

Step three once again makes things a bit more difficult, but once again offers even more valuable rewards. These rewards greatly help players wanting to use a Mega Pidgeot in raid battles or against members of Team GO Rocket themselves. The tasks for this step are:

  • Purify five Shadow Pokemon - 30 Pidgeot Mega Energy
  • Defeat five Team GO Rocket Grunts - 30 Pidgeot Mega Energy
  • Earn three candies walking with your buddy - 30 Pidgeot Mega Energy

By completing the third step's tasks, players will be rewarded with a rocket radar and an encounter with a Pidgeot.

This step will require players to face off against all of Team GO Rocket's leaders. They can find them with the help of the Rocket Radar at PokeStops or on a hot air balloon. Players will need to keep track of who they have and have not fought for this step so that they don't accidentally fight the same leader twice and waste their Rocket Radar. The tasks are:

  • Defeat Team GO Rocket Leader Arlo - 1,250 XP
  • Defeat Team GO Rocket Leader Cliff - 1,250 XP
  • Defeat Team GO Rocket Leader Sierra - 1,250 XP

Completing this step will give players 1,000 Stardust and a Super Rocket Radar.

The final step with tasks requires players to hunt down and face Giovanni. The specific tasks are:

  • Find the Team GO Rocket Boss - Five Max Potions
  • Battle the Team GO Rocket Boss - 20 Ultra Balls
  • Defeat the Team GO Rocket Boss - Five Max Revives

Completing this step will give players 3,000 XP, a Fast TM, and a Charged TM.

Step six is only there to offer players more rewards. These rewards are:

  • 6,000 XP
  • Two Golden Razz Berries
  • Two Silver Pinap Berries
  • A Premium Battle Pass
