After releasing last year on multiple platforms, the Nintendo Switch version of WRC 9 is finally only weeks away from release.

WRC 9 is headed to the Nintendo Switch, and its release is less than two weeks away. WRC 9 has already been released on other platforms, such as the PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. However, the Switch version was trailing behind though that won't be the case for much longer.

WRC 9 is an off-road simulation rally racing game which originally debuted back in 2001. While the Xbox and PlayStation versions of WRC 9 released some time ago, the release date for the Nintendo Switch version was up in the air for quite some time. However, the official listing on Nintendo's website now shows the date on which WRC 9 will launch, and it is very soon.

WRC 9 will launch on March 11, 2021, for the Nintendo Switch. Players can expect to race on tracks from all over the world, race in 15 classic cars, and in 100 special stages. WRC 9 also now has a new game mode that pulls from the community. The Club system allows players to create championships and compete online with others from around the world.

Perhaps most important as far as upgrades on the game are any enhancements to the second-to-second gameplay. WRC 9 has improved and very realistic car physics, which is important in an off-road racing simulator. Of course, players will be the judge as to whether or not the results of the physics are an improved experience in gameplay, but in theory, this could allow for more precision and control while in the car. WRC 9 is a game entirely about practice runs and time trials and perfecting a course, so there will be plenty of opportunities to see if the improvements in WRC 9 are up to snuff on the Nintendo Switch version.
