Ever since Nintendo shook the world with the launch of Animal Crossing: New Horizons back in March of 2020, its popularity is unwaning and its hype train is still chugging through. Players have created their dreams islands and many talented folks have even worked hard to put together recreations in-game of other media properties. Players have recreated interesting things such as a Pokemon Center from the Pokemon series and the Keyblade Graveyard from Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts franchise.
And one player has gone out of their way to recreate the entire first act of one of the most popular musicals ever, Hamilton -- a play created by Lin-Manuel Miranda. After hitting Broadway and then eventually making its way to Disney+ as an exclusive, its music continues to permeate through pop culture and has made its way into Nintendo's life sim game, thanks to a big-time fan.

Guitar_Knight14 posted the entire first of Hamilton onto their YouTube channel and, at the time of writing, has managed to reach almost 400,000 views and over 30,000 likes. The recreation of the musical in-game is done extremely well, with all of the characters wearing the appropriate clothing that fits the time period of Hamilton, and the creator tries to emulate the scenes as perfectly as they can with the furniture and items that players have access to in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which is no simple feat.
They also do a great job at showing off the emotions and personalities of the main characters in the play by using the emotes and gestures available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. While this is only Act 1 of the play, they've been recreating even more tracks from the musical that have been popping up on the YouTube channel over these last few months. Hopefully, Act 2 comes out soon so Animal Crossing and Hamilton fans can come together once again to witness this wonderful collaboration.
For more on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there is a special Super Mario anniversary event happening in-game that allows players to buy Mario-related items. The event kicks off on March 1, and players will even be able to get a Warp Pipe on their island that actually functions exactly as it does in the Mario games.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available for the Nintendo Switch and musical theater fans can check out Hamilton on Disney+.
