Just two days after launch, many fans of the series are excited to try their hands with the Bravely Default 2 sequel. In it are many tough bosses that players will have to come across in their journey, such as Prince Castor.
Prince Castor is a boss fairly early on in the game with a health bar of 28,140. Ideally, players should be around level 16 to comfortably face him in battle. However, Prince Castor is known for strong physical attacks, so gamers may want to also quickly farm jobs in Bravely Default 2 before taking him on.

While the boss fight is not too difficult, there are specific tips that will help make the process a whole lot easier. For Bravely Default 2 fans looking to take on Prince Castor with ease, here are some ways to approach the battle.
Prince Castor is weak to wind, water, dagger, and bow. Additionally, he has no resistances or immunities, but he counters fire and water magic. So the most recommended jobs in Bravely Default 2 for fighting him are Beastmaster, Vanguard, White Mage, and Monk. With sub-jobs such as Freelancer, Black Mage, Beastmaster, or Bard.
In terms of items and equipment, either the Iron Bangle, Water Talisman, or any heavy defensive armor will be most helpful. Some abilities and items that will also come in handy are Purge, Poison, unleashed Cait Sith, and "Don't Let 'Em Get to You."
In total, Prince Castor has four special moves. Vent Fury, which inflicts Berserk on Castor. Crescent Moon, which is an AoE attack on all targets. Shell Split, which is a move that hits a single character and lowers physical defense. And lastly, a Water Damage spell that deals out water damage on a single target.
Gamers should stay away from trying to default against Castor. He is a Berserker class, so he will pierce through players' defenses. The best way to survive his attacks is to have a Bard in the party that can cast protective buffs and stop Castor from attacking.
Another good thing to note is that Prince Castor can be poisoned and frozen. Use either captured Cait Siths from the Abandoned Mansion or hit him with poison spells to deal additional damage. Just make sure to not use fire magic while he is frozen, or else Castor will thaw out.
The reward for defeating Prince Castor is unlocking the Berserkr class, and the water crystal will finally be in the player's grasp, just like in classic Final Fantasy games. Hopefully, this guide helps fans ready to take on this tough boss.
Bravely Default 2 is available now on Nintendo Switch.
