As Season 2 of Call of Duty: Mobile fast approaches, new content is continually being hinted at, including what appears to be a new rifle.

Call of Duty: Mobile hints continue to be released. Right on the heels of dropping a hint for a remixed Shipment map coming to Call of Duty: Mobile, another tease lands on the laps of fans all over the world. A new gun looks to be joining the arsenal in Season 2, but the specifics were not mentioned.

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Mobile looks to start in just a couple of weeks. So, the team behind the game is ramping up its efforts to build up excitement with constant hints of new content that may be on the way.

The new weapon appears to be a marksmen rifle of some sort, but last season the SKS marksmen rifle joined Call of Duty: Mobile as well, so that would two seasons in a row. The gun has the design of perhaps a modern Dragonuv, which would fit in the marksmen rifle category. It also almost appears to have an integrated suppressor from the blueprint design.

Another theory is that the weapon is a sniper rifle instead. Although it is hard to make out in the blueprint, there could be a bolt-action mechanism on the gun. This new weapon may even be a modern take on the R700, for example, a fan-favorite from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Season 2 is looking to be rather content-heavy. Along with the new weapon that was just teased, there is also the aforementioned Shipment remixed map that looks to bring back the chaotic map with a new look. Meanwhile, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare map Shoot House is also joining Call of Duty: Mobile map rotation this time around. The developer appears to be basing plenty of its decisions on a heavy dose of Call of Duty nostalgia. Bringing back fan-favorite maps and weapons is a sure-fire way to create a talking point for fans and likely make players interested in giving the game a try.

Call of Duty: Mobile has done a great job cornering the shooter market on mobile since the game launched. However, the newly announced PUBG: New State could take a chunk out of the player base. It is important to continue to develop the games and keep the content fresh and exciting with ongoing content and gameplay improvements, and that appears to be the case with Call of Duty: Mobile.

Call of Duty: Mobile is available now on Android and iOS devices.
