One five year-old uses his LEGO Mario toys to craft his very own take on Bowser's Fury, which even includes the Giga Bell Shrine and Meowser.

One of the joys of playing with LEGO is how it encourages and fosters creativity. While loads of people enjoy getting a specific Lego set to build exactly what's pictured on the box, others will take the pieces from a set and come up with something different. For instance, one five year-old has used the Super Mario LEGO to create their very own level based on Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury.

The Bowser's Fury mode takes place in a large open-world area called Lake Lapcat, which would be an absolute nightmare to recreate using just the Super Mario LEGO. So, this child did the next best thing and combined elements of them to make something entirely unique. But while it may not resemble a level from Super Mario 3D World, there are some blatant and clever inspirations.

As noted by their father, who shared their son's work over Reddit, he made his own version of the Cat Shine collectibles using some yellow and red blocks and then drawing a cat face on it and recreated the Giga Bell Shrine with a similar method. He even used a torch as a stand-in for Bowser Jr's paintbrush and apparently has it set up so a Mushroom appears when Jr. paints the Thwomp, just like how Jr. can make items appear by painting certain spots in Bowser's Fury.

And while he couldn't make his own version of Fury Bowser, the gigantic, nightmarish form the Koopa King takes in the game, he was able to do the next best thing and put the Tanooki Cap on LEGO Bowser to make him resemble Meowser. In 3D World, Meowser is what happens when Bowser uses the Super Bell power-up on himself, transforming him into a giant cat and serving as the main game's final boss.

The comments below are filled with nothing but praise for the kid's efforts. One commenter points out how crazy it is to see official Mario LEGO nowadays when there was nothing really like it when they were a kid. Hopefully, Nintendo and LEGO will one day release an official Bowser's Fury set, complete with a giant LEGO Fury Bowser and LEGO Giga Cat Mario, though such a set would no doubt be incredibly expensive and difficult to get hold of, considering how quickly pre-orders sold out when the first set launched.

As for the game itself, despite being another port of a Wii U game, it has been dominating the sales charts. Bowser's Fury, in particular, has been widely praised and now many hope that it represents the future of the series and will lead to a truly open world 3D Mario game.
