Rapper Soulja Boy may be best known for his 2007 hit song "Crank That," and more recently, for his legally questionable forays into the video game console market. Now Soulja Boy has found himself in the middle of a Twitter feud with WWE wrestler Randy Orton, with the two trading multiple profanity-filled tweets and threats to one another in the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 2.
The situation started on February 28 when Soulja Boy tweeted out "Rap game faker than WWE." This drew the ire of WWE fans and wrestlers alike, with Randy Orton joining in on March 2. "Dare this p**** to step up," Orton said in the initial tweet. "Aint nuthin but a b**** ass..."

This prompted a response from Soulja Boy, who threatened to "bring the REAL to wrestling." Orton then responded telling Soulja Boy to "Come to my world and say that. Dare ya." The back-and-forth went on for a little longer, with rapper Bow Wow jumping in as well. Bow Wow has previously announced his intentions to get into the professional wrestling business, with plans to train with former WWE star Rikishi. Bow Wow appeared to side with Soulja Boy in the Twitter spat, which will likely not endear him to WWE's top brass.
Of course, with this involving the professional wrestling business, there is always speculation that this could be some kind of "work." The biggest WWE show of the year, WrestleMania, is right around the corner, and a feud between professional wrestlers and rappers like Soulja Boy and Bow Wow could bring the event some extra mainstream attention. Then again, WWE already has an ongoing storyline with someone from the music industry, as singer Bad Bunny is the company's 24/7 Champion. For now, it seems as though the Twitter feud between Orton and Soulja Boy is legitimate.
Bad Bunny has reportedly received professional wrestling training at the WWE Performance Center and is expected to have a match of some kind at WrestleMania. On WWE television, Bad Bunny has aligned himself with Damian Priest, and the two of them are currently feuding with John Morrison and The Miz.
In the meantime, it will be interesting to see if there are any further developments in the Orton/Soulja Boy Twitter feud. In the meantime, Soulja Boy has announced plans to release a new Soulja game console, though it remains to be seen if it will turn out like the rapper's previous attempt at releasing video game hardware, which resulted in lawsuits.
