To the southwest of the map in Fallout 3, players can find Tenpenny Tower. The settlement is a tower that rises above the Capital Wasteland. Players can gain access to it by speaking to the security guard through an intercom. From there, players can explore a tower settlement that comes with lodging, stores, and even a bar.

The Lone Wanderer can meet some interesting characters as they explore the tower. Along with the people are quests players can take part in. Exploring the tower, speaking to the residents, and completing the quests will reveal more about the settlement to the player.
10 Security Wears Unique Combat Armor
Tenpenny Towers has a security force to defend the settlement. The security force wears a unique khaki armor as well. Normal armor appears in a black color, making this one stand out. The only issue is no merchants sell this version of the armor.
This means players need to take matters into their own hands to acquire the armor. Players can take a quiet shot at a guard or fully assault Tenpenny Tower for some of this armor.
9 Players Can Get A Room Here
Depending on who players side with, they can get a room at Tenpenny Tower. They will have a balcony outside that wraps around to Tenpenny's own room. The room also comes with a Mister Handy who can tell jokes to the player or restyle their hair.
Players can also buy themes for their rooms. The themes can range from raider decor to making the room look like it is Pre-War. Objects from exploring the wastes can also be dropped on the floor and put on shelves for decoration. The room gives players a chance to make somewhere feel homey.
8 One Resident Believes Is Descended From Chinese Leader
Speaking to some residents of the tower reveal a lot about them. One man, named Irving Cheng, believes he is the direct descendant of Chairman Cheng. Chairman Cheng was the leader of China during the Great War.

Irving is embarrassed by his first name, preferring to be called Comrade Cheng. Reading Irving's terminal reveals he plans to start a communist society as well. Sadly because of these habits, Irving's wife has come to hate him.
7 Can Find Dart Gun Schematics
Players who want to collect the dart gun schematics will have an easier time at this location. Going into the Boutique Le Chic allows players to buy the blueprints from the store. Having only one copy of the schematics will give the player a weapon with a 75% weapon condition.
The other ways to get the blueprints is by completing a quest or going to the MDPL-05 power station. Once players buy the schematic, all they need is a toy car, paint gun, surgical tubing, and a radscorpion poison gland to build it.
6 Ghouls Can Take Over The Tower
By speaking to the chief of Tenpenny Towers security, players can be given the quest 'Tenpenny Tower'. The goal will be to get rid of ghouls bothering the settlement. However, players can try to help the ghouls move into the tower. Players will need to convince the residents to peacefully accept the change (or kill the residents).
Coming back later will reveal there are only ghouls in the tower. The remains of the human residents can be found in the basement, having been killed.
5 Tenpenny Goes On 'Safaris'
When visiting with Tenpenny, players can find him shooting at targets from his balcony. He reveals what he is doing is a 'Wasteland Safari'. Tenpenny will shoot at wasteland creatures, ghouls, and sometimes even people walking too closely to the tower.

Players will not be able to see the bodies of his victims on the ground if they search. With the way Tenpenny behaves, it should come as no surprise he is one of the only characters with 'Very Evil' karma.
4 Had A Radio Station
At one time, Tenpenny Tower was supposed to have its own radio station. The DJ would have been Allistair Tenpenny, most likely being available for players inside of or close to Tenpenny Tower. Tenpenny would even have his own 'truisms', or proverbs for those in the wastes.
These truisms show what Tenpenny's own philosophy for life is. What a shame that players aren't able to listen to Tenpenny talk down on the wasteland.
3 Potential The Shining Reference Found
Tenpenny Tower is creepy enough, being a Pre-War building in the wasteland. Players can possibly find a reference to The Shining on the third floor. A tricycle can be found down a hallway behind a potted plant. This could be a reference to when the character Danny is riding his tricycle through the halls of the Overlook Hotel.

There are also no children in the tower. That would mean that a child's toy from before the war has been sitting in the tower. If there was ever a reason to haunt a place, this would be it.
2 Can Seduce Burke Into Not Blowing Up Megaton
Meeting Burke in Megaton will give players a choice. They can either save the city or blow up Megaton for Tenpenny. A female character with the Black Widow perk can seduce Burke into changing Tenpenny's mind. This will save the city, and Burke will disappear.

Despite disappearing, Burke will leave love letters for the player. They can be found at Colin Moriarty's bar at Megaton. There will be a total of four letters, the last one having bad news. In the last one, Burke will 'break up' with the player.
1 Secret Love Affair Going On
By snooping around in rooms, players can find a love letter. In Susan Lancaster's room, a love letter from Edgar Wellington can be found – Edgar being the husband of Millicent Wellington. In the letter, Edgar will admit that he loves Susan.
Players can give the letter to Millicent, who becomes angry. She kills her husband and goes after Susan as well. Millicent then leaves the tower.
