The Season of Legends has arrived and it's time for Pokemon GO players to start enjoying a new era of the mobile game. Events are already rolling out in quick succession in the first weeks of the new season and before like players will be starting their quest towards Legendaries with the Searching for Legends event.
This early March event sets Pokemon GO players out on a hunt for legends with the compass Pokemon - Nosepass. In addition to featuring a ton of extra Ground-, Rock-, and Steel-type Pokemon, this event is also going to offer players the chance to encounter a shiny version of Nosepass.

The chance to pick up shiny Nosepass (and evolve into shiny Probopass) should be plenty of motivation to get collectors out and active in the game in the coming week. The other spawns, Egg hatches, and Raid Bosses associated with the event are pretty enticing as well, so it's likely to be a popular event over all.
"We’re kicking off the Season of Legends with a search for Legendary Pokémon! Any successful search requires a good sense of direction—and if there’s one Pokémon equipped to help in that regard, it’s Nosepass. The Compass Pokémon will be appearing in greater numbers to help you sniff out leads alongside a variety of Ground-, Rock-, and Steel-type Pokémon."

As the event draws closer, more details about Limited Research and potential rewards should become available. The quality and rarity level of those rewards are likely to have a big influence on how active the average players will be throughout the week of March 9.
Before March 9 arrives, Pokemon GO players still have plenty to keep themselves busy in the game. Be sure to check the Today View and the Special Research tabs to get as caught up as possible before the next event kicks off. It also wouldn't hurt to start hatching some Eggs and clearing out space for new event Eggs before March 9 arrives.
Over the next week or so players should begin to learn a lot more about what other events are on the way throughout the Season of Legends. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
