Super Smash Bros. Ultimate can be used to settle all kinds of disputes, but one creative family uses it to decide what's for dinner.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate can be a lot of things these days. For some, it's a test of skill, focus, and adaptability, pushing players to their limits while going against other similarly skilled foes. For others, it's a fun party game full of free for all matches, items, and smash balls. Some even use the game to settle disputes, and this one creative family did something similar. Rather than settle a dispute between two people or anything like that, they used it to determine what they should have for dinner. If it sounds bizarre, that's because it really is, but it works hilariously well.

For context, ever since Super Smash Bros. 4, players have been able to create Mii Fighters to use in battle. Often these would represent the player themselves, but sometimes people opted to do some funny things with them instead. This family used this feature in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to create an entertaining dinner randomizer of sorts.

The TikTok video is short and only shows a portion of what is going on, but it's hilarious nonetheless. A mother asks the titular question, "What's for dinner" before starting a match between eight CPU controlled Mii Fighters. Once the fight screen loads, it becomes clear that each of these Mii Fighters is named after a different kind of food. The choices available are seafood, Chinese, breakfast, burgers, pizza, chicken, or Italian. For those that noticed that this is only seven options, that's because one of the Mii Fighters startingly has the name "Starve."

Each of these computers is set to level 9, ensuring that the fight will be high caliber to say the least. What's more, all eight fighters are crammed onto the relatively small stage of Battlefield. Final Fantasy 7's Jenova theme starts playing in the background, and the family presumably watches as these eight Mii Fighters duke it out to determine the fate of what's for dinner. Over the course of the three videos, fans finally get an answer age old question of "What's for dinner," but it isn't the answer that most were hoping for.

Unfortunately for this mother and her family, the Mii Gunner named "Starve" actually won the eight-man brawl. Hilariously, the final battle came down to Seafood and Starve having an epic showdown, causing the kids to cheer for Seafood instead. For those parents having trouble getting kids to try seafood, this might be just the thing they need to encourage them.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now on Switch.
